Today two AW dreadnought battleships foolishly tried to prohibit -=?=- and NSP access to NY through the Texas gate. After 5 minutes -=?=- had gathered a very large fleet and proceeded to annialate both dreadnoughts, one fighting to the death valiantly whilst the other attempted to flee to planet Houston.
-=?=- and her allies grip on Sirius increases, and the lax attitude of the House Empires does nothing to stop it. This incident shows that those who are brave enough to stand up to the menace are unsupported by their yellow-bellied colleagues.
This victory is only the last in a series of devastating strikes agaisnt the House factions, most notable of which being the battle of Chugoku and both battles for Berlin.
Democracy is under dire threat, as -=?=- attempt to establish an absolute monarchy over every system in Sirius. Further acts of underhand violence are expected in the near future.
P.S An RM gunboat was encountered shortly after at Bering, the pilot managed to escape with minor damage.
(Great fight AW! Nice to see somebody is looking for a scrap. I'm sure you'll come up with some sort of reprisal ;))
And our Expert NSP Salvage engineers have just determined that the dreadnaut shot down in orbit above Houston was outfitted with some experimental Anti-fighter weaponry
we will keep you updated as the situation develops this is CNN(Crime news Network)

Thanks for posting these, they prove my previous observation that -=?=- and AW are neutral to eachother. Disappointing.
But it's good that we have WAR!
Role-played characters:
daedalus - Liberty Navy
bandersnatch - Ruthless criminal possessed by a (huge) alien
Shredder - Small-time Kusari pirate, looking to join the Blood Dragons

That gunboat would probably be me on my way to Manhattan. Man, what a scrap you guys had going there. I was just minding my own business, and suddenly I found myself in the line of fire from several large ships. Not a pleasant situation I must admit

I do apologise, but Bering is off limits at the moment - we're using it as our launching base into Liberty and Rheinland.

Do you even know how the Freelancer reputation system works?
In case you don't I will explain - when you meet other players, Freelancer looks at each characters reputation with the 50 game factions and compares the results. It displays on the hud in colour how those characters would react to eachother if they were npcs.
Green = friendly
White = neutral
Red = hostile
In this case white is displayed. In game roleplaying terms you have no reason to attack AW (and visa versa), and under my proposed server rules (Rule 3) you wouldn't be able to.

I thought you meant clan politics. I don't pay any attention to NPC reputation because I keep everybody neutral. It is that neutrality that ALLOWS me to RP without distraction.

Well, you should not. I have a pirate char called [Phantom]Blackbeard. He is friendly with all the pirate factions, and enemy of all the lawful factions. Even when that makes attacking lawful PCs more difficult because you have 30+ npc attacking you at the same time.
If you are going to be a pirate, you should make you a pirate reputation. Not a freelancer one.
Going to the topic again... AW will strike back. Im not fighting back right now because im at my office. (I could install freelancer here, but i bet my boss will *not* be happy to see me playing instead of programming :P)

(Really, I speak terrible English, so please, tell me if I make mistakes. I'd like to improve it a bit )
