the other day in my BH cruiser i found myself surrounded by two enemy heavy cruisers a couple of heavy fighters, basically they didn't shoot me becuase of a nearby freeport but then a bomber pilot came along and within seconds, my shields were down and half my hull gone i thought both the cruisers must have opened fire on me with a couple of light mortars, infernos etc but i didnt see them shoot, looking back i realise it was only the bomber pilot who attacked me which leads me on to my point:

The SNAC is ridiculously overpowered, it does more than double (almost triple) the damage of the light mortar which is the most damaging weapon the cruiser can carry. I mean it is really really absurd to me that with 39k of energy you can do 132k of damage in a bomber, whereas in my cruiser it takes 500k of energy to do just 46k damage. i mean whats to stop me mounting SNACs on all 8 of my cruiser weapon slots and destroying anything with 1 shot to the shield and hull?? in RP, nothing only game mechanics prevents me doing this. Basically cruisers, battlecruisers and battleships should do more damage than what is basically a heavy fighter with reduced agility. Its unrealistic!

Age old issue, try doing a search before making a new topic.

But out of curiosity, without the SNAC, give me a new way to make capital ships destroyable. (Bar using another capital ship.)

the only realistic way should be overwhelming numbers (2 bombers = no) im tlaking like 5 or 2 or 3 gunboats or another CAP!!!!!

Okay, I'll tell you what. I'll bring an Outcast Destroyer to Kyushu, and you can try getting five bombers together to bring it down.

Come on, it'll be fun!

Right. So if one player decides to buy a cruiser and griefs a group without capital ships (ie Xenos), they must muster 5 bombers to beat it?

The supernova is not overpowered. Learn to fly your ship against bombers before complaining...

learn to fly? it was 2 seconds and i wasnt about to open up on the entire corsair fleet outside a freeport!

For reference, I've killed 3 bombers solo in my Liberty Gunboat. Should SN power go down?

gunboats i'm guessing are harder to hit with a supernova than a cruiser, and that i think would be down to piloting, 3 bomber pilots were either bad or you are very skilled

Then gtho of Corsairs area, don't fly capships if you can't face that you'r not God in those ships. and i'v flyed a couple of Cruiser before and 1 bomber, 2 second ? Naw...maybe 3. But 1 bomber can definlity take down a Cruiser alone with some time and skill.

I'm a good fighter pilot, and good gunboat pilots give me hives when I'm in a bomber.

As a cap pilot you just need to figure out when he's about to fire, and radically change your trajectory just as he lets the thing go. If he gets really close to guarantee his hits, you will punish him severely as he tries to get clear again. If he shoots from a distance, you have all the time in the world to simply move out of the way.

You will also notice bomber pilots in general start making stupid mistakes to land their shots, if you make them whiff 3-4 times in a row.
