My thoughts About this are
Portal 2 is going to be a epic game, althrough at the intro of the trailer it gave me abit of a suprise that the GLaDOS is still alive ( While the song referrs to it).. The first version of portal already made my brain do a big fart.. and got confused at chambers, it seems it will be alot harder in this one... And yet still play as chell, it seems.
those are my thoughts about it..

Releasing on Xbox 360, PC AND Playstation 3 And mac! This is gonna be epic
They'll probably release it for Linux too. They are releasing, at some point, STEAM for Linux, and Portal is one of their landmark games, so why wouldn't Valve release portal 2 there?

Nope. Portal 1 was a senior project from college that a company (forgot who they were) requested them to join them. Therefore, Portal 1 was sold yes, but it was just a project that a group of college students made. Now those college students made Portal 2 - which is way much better, has a storyline, and longer than Portal 1.
Therefore - it is no longer free. They want the $$$ this time:P
I'm willing to pay for it, its worthy since the sheer quality of the first game was so high, I'm willing to gamble. Typically Valve games are very well made, albiet in small amounts. For the first time ever, I think I'll pay for it on pre-order via Steam when its ready.
