I was bored and rich. There's still too much light on the actor, but I hate to lose any detail of that expression..

Edit: Aftertouched it. That's final I guess. Any further I play with it I make it worse.

Hum, I like it, but the Bayonet (?) seems a little bit out of place. Since the planets have a sort of sketchy-look, and Jameson is a drawing, the render seems a bit oppressive.

Yeah, the ship looks really weird. Perhaps some more contrast and a filter which makes the ship look like a coloured sketch?

Sort of intentional, the render is scaled and no interpolation looks best methinks.

pixelation is annoying. Aside of that, it's good, though it could use a more definite contour.

That render is just fine I think - it gets the light from correct angle. It just doesn't fits in colors. If you done the render I'd suggest multiple light-sources, a green and a yellow. If you didn't than similar can be done in PS by playing with levels (adjustment).

I'll paly with the rubberband too. :$

EDIT: Contrast made it a lot better yeah, still the colors.

EDIT2: Or alternatively, you can put the colored space-background behind it with a layer-mask (so the only visible what's directly covered by the render layer) and try different blending mode-opacity combinations. That's what I did with an uniform-gray whale a couple posts before.
