Annoyed by the predicament, but also unable to act upon his anger, Clif openly threw the chair leg onto the table and sat down next to the dark man, ignoring him for a moment.

"Oi! Bartender! If I'mma deal with someone pointin' guns at mah goods, I'mma need another drink. Has a soberin' effect on ya."

The tender slid another of Clif's usual down the bar top, sloshing only a minute amount with his practiced skill. Clif snagged the sliding glass and downed it in its entirety before slamming it into the table and glaring at the dark man.

"This wha'cha wanted? Wanna see ol' Clif up close and personal? Well you got 'im" Clif fumed.

He young man would shrug taking a swing of his wine he brought being a good one which being in a Rogues base would cost him a bit more then the drink Clif had just downed, he would tip some of the wine into Clifs glass a small tattoo on the bottom of his wrist. "Well Sober would have been nice... and all." he gives a little smile. "Rogers a little jumpy don't you think that positions almost like hes going to pull his gun out from his pants and smack some one in the face with it." He would breathe in the air just leaving the bottle by Clif as if predicting he would have gotten him here as he takes a drink from his water. "Hows the Rogue business going?"

Kane looked around the room, and at the apparent issue that may have been starting with that fellow--Clif, his name was--in the corner of the bar. He looked back at Lavinia and smiled.

"Shall we go now, or would you like to stay for a bit?" he asked her politely, as always.

Roger was completely silent now as he tried to listen to whatever fragments he could of the conversation on the other side of the room. Mostly parts from Clif as his drunk voice carried across the bar. There was another man now, singing quietly at his table. Roger didn't hear as much as he would like, but he would still know when to shoot the kid in the head.

He glanced back at them, and saw the kid looking at him. Staring at where his gun was. The littl' bugga knew. It was the new way he was sitting he knew. More comfortable when concealing a weapon. He eyed the kid once, giving him a warning glance, sending entire sentences to him by only staring him in the eyes: If you do anything. Anything. I'll be here to shoot you in the head. And I won't miss.

Lavinia smiled at Kane, feeling very much calm compared to how the bar used to feel.
"I guess...we could stay, for a while...I don't think anyone minds.."

Kane smiled and stood up, moving to the side of the booth that Lavinia sat at and sat down next to her, putting his arm around her shoulders and kissing her lightly on the cheek.

"Alright then, my dear, let's stay for a bit. Would you like me to go get something you to drink?"

Lavinia thought for a moment, letting her head fall onto Kane's shoulder.
"Well, no thanks...not too thirsty..."
She observed the bar with piercing blue eyes.

Kane's head tilted slightly, almost to rest on Lavinia's. He stroked her shoulder gently. He watched the people in the bar. He looked at the people who looked more conspicuous than others and looked at the ones who looked nearly innocent. A few caught his eye, namely Clif, and a man in the corner, who looked an awful like someone Kane new. He paid it no mind though, closing his eyes and opting to live in the moment instead of thinking about the past or future.

"I don' do sober, not in a bar. Be'a shame to waste such an atmosphere" Clif gestured around sarcastically. He was still miffed about the whole situation, but talk of alcohol always had a calming effect. Similar interests. "And I wouldn' worry 'bout Claymore makin' mistakes. He is a Rogue after all. An' Rogues don' live long if they ain' got some skill. The man knows what he's 'bout."

Clif pauses and takes another drink, calming visibly. "As fer the rogue business, well, doin' damn well. Got all my hyenas in a row, ya might say." Clif, in fact, did not have his 'hyenas in a row,' but he managed the lie nicely. His business, as it were, was doing quite well, but personal matters were another thing entirely. Alcohol has the effect of making everything you say sound stupid, truth and falsehoods alike, and it blended with the rest of his speech perfectly.

"...all my troubles seemed so faaaar awaaaay..."

The young man just smiles. "And you don't grow up in the thick of the Omicrons if your weak and readable." he looks to Clif directly for the first time. "And I'm sure you have your Hyenas all in place but its more of the wolves I would want to look out for because if they see a opportunity to make a little living and live a little better their going to take it and not care who they trample over, besides with your scenes dulled from the alchol along with all these people, wouldn't it make them all the better targets?" He would have gvin the wine to Clif still drinking the water which would seem to be rather warm and with this he would put it down sliding it away. "Mah, its warm."
