You know, I had a novel thought just now. How about, instead of complaining about Outcasts on the forums, you go in-game and try to solve it there instead?
The Outcasts are in Liberty for a rather simple reason. There are traders to pierat. We don't really have that luxury out in the Omicrons particularly often. We are given incentives by the game to leave Omicron and follow the foodsource (or, in this case, the credits). If you don't like having Outcasts in Liberty, perhaps you should try trading something outside of Liberty? Get the Taus and Sigmas buzzing and I imagine that's where the pierats will go.

People could do that... or you could put in effort to educate and actually do something about your troublesome bunch.

This is true.
Outcasts are basically in Liberty to enforce their Cardamine trade. If that means taking out corporate competitors(i.e. Cryer) then that's justifiable if they want to pirate. However, I think Tridentes and other cap ships should be flown in and around Outcast space protecting the homeland from Corsair invaders and such, not used exclusively to pop freighters in California. While I don't think OC's should be somehow banned from Liberty, I think their use of Liberty systems should be limited and controlled in an RP-appropriate manner. So, yes to OC's in Liberty. No to 'cast capships pewpewing everything in sight.

What, and leave them with absolutely nothing to do?
Piracy is part of the average Outcast's MO. Therefore, they will follow the traders. If you don't like it, move the traders. It's that simple! (amazing, ain't it?)

I meant like how to behave, to use fighter and bombers, I said nothing about not allowing them to pirate. If you actually taught/set an example OC's how to behave then people wouldn't be all up in arms in telling you to GTFO.
But yes its far easier for the OC factions to say "Our indies suck, but we don't. You deal with them." or "Stop trading in liberty and they won't be there."
Edit: And BTW [|] have done it with Gopnik, Order| have done it with their indies, The Corsair Council of Elders and respective factions have done it with their indies. Of course it hasn't worked for every player, but its better than attempting to palm the blame and responsibility onto others.

How do you intend to go about changing 100+ people's behaviors? When you figure out a great, foolproof method for teaching a new indie to RP well call me. Until then you can deal with our indies. We stay in Outcast space. It's very lonely, and very boring, but we have each other. And the Nomads.
:)

I feel that Outcasts in Liberty is detrimental to the Outcasts as a whole. It's vastly reduced the activity they might otherwise present within Bretonia and Kusari in addition to emptying out the Omicrons as the kraken playerbase is otherwise occupied in Manhattan orbit and the California pipe.

Yes. Because we didn't get bitched at, complained about and then eventually told to stop last time we tried to take control of our player base. Something about being too controlling and that everyone should have freedom in what they choose to do with their RP, like for instance going to Liberty.
As for the other factions taking care of their indies; flying around on my indie Corsair, I've seen general acts of crap done by other Corsair indies, including lolwuttery, asking for far more credits than they should and making up crappy reasons to attack someone (if they even made up a reason at all).
And last time I heard anything about Order indies, they were still flying around in their Gebs hunting down lone Bounty Hunters.

But oh well.
Yay! Dusty wins the thread by actually constructing a valid argument and reason the majority of Outcasts should stay out of Liberty.
P.S: Before you come along and say I'm biased. I believe that the majority of Outcasts should stay away. But whether you like it or not, they have more than one valid reason to be there. Cryer operates there. The vast of our cardamine ends up there. It's the trade center for the galaxy (Both inRP and ooRP.)
