I don't see what the problem is with Outcasts in Liberty.
We've got cardi guys going through, we've got slavers going through, we've got our allies sitting right there, and it's perfect for making money pirating-wise.
What's the big deal? And don't say GBs because i haven't seen a single OC GB (besides joker), in Liberty in ages. And one of my main chars always hangs around Liberty.
I actually took my Corsair to Liberty today, right to NY up near Planet Manhatten.
Was there as reason for doing it?
No, not really, other than the server was quiet, not many people in the places I was going to have to pass through to get where I wanted to go and I wanted to see if I could do it.
My 'RP reason' for if I ran into people, was my Corsair was on holiday. Too bad about where he picked to go.
Got there, took some 'photographs' along the way, docked at three Junkers bases along the way (I'm *almost* neutral to them and the ID card doesn't say they are enemies to me.) just because they were the *only* places I could dock at along the way and then went back the short way, via Alaska, Minor. Stopped at Yaren for the day.
In that whole trip I 'spoke' with FOUR people in total.
I reckon I was in NY for maybe an hour, not long in the scheme of things, but more than enough time for a group of LN to come looking for me, if I had of made my presence know by being a nuisance.
Had a run in with a LN (npc) Battleship patrol, but was fortunate enough to be in cruise and even tho they CD'd me, when I dropped out I was far enough away to avoid being killed.
A quick dock back at Rochester (Junkers Base) for repairs and I was out of there.
For the record, my Corsair is an Indy. Flies a cruiser, not a Lolcruiser, just a cruiser.

You've been very lucky perhaps. When I tried to enter NY with my Corsair Titan. Well I shouldn´t have used the gate perhaps hehe, but I couldn´t resist doing that. Anyway 30 seconds at the other sides and there was a dread(player) in front of me already, it didn't suprise me firstly, becaese I used the gate. Secondly, because most of the time when I play the server is packed entirely. And especially Liberty, which is good since that's the place where I play most of the time.
Actually seing as how the cap spam in liberty is still in effect with any number of LABC running around 4-5 gunboats can take it down easily.
I have my gunboat ready.
i am pushing about 120 million credits a day with my route soon i will have my cap 7 hybrid anty fighter / anti cap with bomber backup Trident back up and running.
I could understand if liberty was just a bunch of fighters and bombers but we need anti cap on a hard scale I can dock on a rogue base in cali and stay in cali i dont enter new york for the most part unless i am really ready for a fight. 90% of the time they send a cap or 2 to cali any how.
Outcast can go anywhere they need to protect the cardi route. the gunboat just gives a little bit of extra protection
http://signavatar.com/15890_s.gif First: You've got a picture in there that's 800x286 pixels. The maximum signature size is 700x250.
Second: Your other picture in the rotation fills the full 700x250 boundaries by itself.
With an image that big, you can't fit any text below it. Please fix this.

I was lucky and smart, that is how I got there.
The only jump gate I used *going* to NY was the Magellan JG, going back it was the Alaska JG.
Every other system jump was via jump holes. That was the smart part I reckon.
The lucky part was that it was quiet on the server, between 50-60 people when I started out, 60-70 people when I arrived and about the same when I left.
Didn't kill anyone (as in players) and only killed npc's (mostly rouges and outcasts) who insisted on checking my shields with their guns. Oddly most of the Navy npc's took one look at me and ran for it. Maybe they have some brains after all. :P
Note that I didn't hang around, far too many 'red' items, which pretty much indicate I was in a place where I shouldn't really be. Bad place for a holiday. I'll make sure he picks somewhere else to take holidays next time. Yaren Base is nice..... if you don't mind the Nommies.
' Wrote:Go play the game, within the given limitations. That is how role play games are played. Not by trying to work around those limitations or whining about them.
With the sheer amount of OC vs Liberty combat - that Liberty would have declared war on the Great Nation of Malta by now - or at least be a major backer of the Corsairs...
when the dev team did all what the long term veteran players here asked for .... we d end up with yet another thread >what you miss from the olden days< - and there d be the exact same players mentioning "ach.... the freedom to go where your roleplay carried you was so great, now its all so restrictive"
but how about that - we cage every faction in their own little domain! - no more interaction, no trouble, blissful silence - and thats what the server would become. - silent, abandoned.
roleplay is interaction, confrontation, acting/reacting, solving problems/posing problems, progressing or clinging to the old ways - in short..... roleplay is only really interesting when you are in conflict.
no matter how you like peace or war.... when children "play" they prefer playing conflict rather than playing peace. - for a reason - peace is good to live in - but boring to roleplay for most of it. - war is horrible to live in - but interesting to "play".
and when you start shoving out those that you dislike from "your" domain, others will follow - and you ll end up in peace... what bliss.
