Player files corruption

Ok i don't no if this could be the reason, i just checked to see if any of my char's have been deleted.

The problem is i now have a 750 + ping, my normal ping is 64:(

I don't no what could course this, the only thing that has changed from last night is this.

All the other server pings seem to be normal aswell its just this one thats really high:(

This wont affect me as much as it affected others further from the server, as my ping is usually very low. However, I applaud the time and effort you put into sifting through these accounts manually and deleting those that were corrupted. I do not have may characters, 3 to be exact, but I do want to say that others were experiencing terrible lag, so much so that we couldn't hit them. If this stops them lagging out like this, and keeps the server running smoothly, with less crashes, then you have my support BulldogNK.

Thank you for the time and effort you put in to doing this and preventing a player wipe. That would have been catastrophic, and as stated somewhere above, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Denelo, that list is slightly...long.

Edit: Equinox, you probably got a hiccup when Fl was pinging the server, or your connection with the server isn't stable. It will sort itself out. Also, disable the port where your internet is coming from and then enable it again. This resets the connection, and works for me sometimes when my ping shoots up.

Even thought I was 90% sure i had corrupted files, I guess that the 10% was in my favor. None of my chars have been deleted. Thank you Bulldog!

Since I see we have admins willing to trawl through and delete the ones causing the problems, how about this. Since no errors are occurring now, if one is found, a notification is put in that person's hold, or PM'ed. This gives him 24 hours to delete the character and transfer over all the stuff to a new character, which saves the admins reimbursing whoever was affected by the deletion. This means that a person wouldn't be hit by a deletion, especially if its a store character that got corrupted.

Is this practical from the admin's point of view?
