Funny, you don't see the IND complaining that 5 Rogues blew up an empty transport while demanding 10 million credits. We reacted in RP, we did what our community tells everyone to do. We handled it in RP, and continue to handle it in RP. It OORP to go to Cassini? That one is not going to work. Cassini is not a secure system, it was never meant to be a military system. You know how I know? There is a damn DSE base in the system. It was designed to make sure people knew the rogues weren't some military but a ragtag band of thieves. I find it to be terribly amusing that the LR started this whole conflict, but somehow the IND end up being described as griefing the LR. Please, you all made you bed, you have to lie in it, and you already know what you have to do to stop it. It's not asking alot for an apology for blowing up our empty transport with a demand of 10 million credits.
As for the Zoner thing, it comes from no one really knowing what the Zoners are anymore. They are definatly not Vanilla Zoners anymore, and thats fine, but with changes in role come changes in diplomacy, and that seems to be the part where people get mad, because the Zoners diplomacy hasn't changed, and every time anyone treats it like it has, they get Q_Qed all over the forum.
Zelot. The IND took this war too far the second one of your pilots entered our Guard System. Guard systems are super sacred and it's totally not cool to go into one. ESPECIALLY not to get a rise out of us during a time where we're waging a proxy war. There are lines in the sand here and you totally stepped over it.
Us shooting down one of your transports was perfectly legitimate. Your reputation as a rich corporation makes you the perfect target for exploitative and unreasonable demands, the IND could easily afford ten million, even if you were running empty. Plus there were five of us and sometimes a chuckle at the expense of a notorious name is all the more delightful.
The only reason we didn't drop a sanction report on you is because <strike>we couldn't figure out what rule you might have broken</strike> we're bigger than that. The only reason we didn't initiate a troll post, UNLIKE THE IND???, is because we're bigger than that.
When you and the IND are ready to grow up let us know. In the meantime get out of this totally credible thread complaining about how juvenile you are.
Edit: I deeply regret my actions and I apologize, again, to the LR- for flying into Cassini and saying fart to them. I understand how that damages the bonds between players and cheapens the game experience for all parties involved.
Kashiwaba Tomoe @ Sep 11 2010, 09:44 AM Wrote:We have admins who think RPing as Al Qaeda is perfectly acceptable RP, thats how we get to this point Peter.
If you're talking about Saladin's bounty, I dont think he is RPing as Al Queda just because he uses and Arabic name. You, and maybe him too, just think he is.
His alleged motivations are "spread chaos" and "joy of killing", which no one in Al Queda would ever say.
Its a I-hate-you-bounty with no RP justification which -should- be against the rules, but its not Al Queda.
Quote:Simply put you can troll all you want, just be friends with the right admins and/or mods, and nothing happens.
Indeed, and its worse when SOME of the admins are part of said network of minions, and give those special players unofficial warnings (if even that much) for things that would get lesser players banend.
Cant argue with you there.
In spite of the first part of the rules section, this is not an institution in a democratic state where people have rights that are enforced by law, this is a multiplayer internet game where the geek that spent the most time becomes the geek in power.
What you say is a normal thing to happen if no control is held over admins that they really follow their own rules, and when there is no self-control either.

The rules seem to be more focused on punishing people who can't RP, or don't know what RP is, more than people who really need a slap on the wrists.
Such wisdom from you.

And rightfully so.
Most people would leave an internet forum instead of trying to change anything for the better.
But as long as powergamers see no need to change their behavior for their own benefit, they wont do it. They wont change it for the benefit of someone else. Thats how they work.
Peter Kristall @ Sep 11 2010, 02:20 AM Wrote:Given that the IND was Dusty, and that the IND apparantly do know about Cassini, I apologize for the second half of my post. Dusty, you're forgiven. Everyone has off days.
I'm still waiting to hear any kind of explanation for the Zoner bashing that's been going on.
So now you apologize and forgive because one of the guys is who he is, but when you saw his ingame behavior without knowing who he is on the forum, you found it unacceptable.

Maybe thats part of the problem.
Maybe thats the root of the problem.
I'm going to take a break from, ah, apologizing for a moment.
This is an excellent observation and one that I wholeheartedly endorse. The metamorphosis that takes place around here when a person goes from being an unknown to a known is remarkable. Most of the people posting negatively in this thread are doing so because they have a grudge against the persons involved or wish to express their own vendettas, most of the people here willing to forgive one side over the other do so for the same reason.
My IND flying into Cassini was unacceptable to the OP until he, what, found out it was me? If he knew it was me before hand he wouldn't have made this absurd thread? How does that make any sense at all. It's not even in the sense that he would have found it a pointless exercise, he stated that he apologized because of the people involved. Personal vendetta and prejudice are so intertwined into the mindset of the OP that he doesn't even perceive what he's really saying whilst complaining about immaturity and base conduct.
Or perhaps, had he possessed even greater apathy for me as a person his post would have been all the more virulent.
It's ludicrous. Let's all be friends everyone. Good post Karlotta!
The only thing that Dusty did wrong when he flew through Cassini was forget to die when a pirate transport, two bombers, a fighter, five stationary destroyers, and millions of NPCs were shooting at him.
