Raffaello's sabre glided swiftly through the dark Maltese sky. He saw the Alderez manor just ahead; right where his uncle said it would be.. though he could hardly call it a manor in the state it was.
Easing off the throttle, Raffaello pulled up on the stick and brought the sabre to a gentle landing on the manor's outskirts; a small patch of barren land presumably dedicated to the purpose. He opened the cockpit and hopped out, walking towards the entrance of the ominous building. Stepping up to the broken and rotting deck surrounding the manor, he slammed his fist on the door twice in slow succession.
"Hello?" He called.
He could hear footsteps inside, drawing closer towards the door. It creaked open slightly, just enough to see a dim light inside with a man's eye peering out of it.
Raffaello took a seat across from Vincente, getting comfortable and gathering his thoughts, he began his explanation. "My father was a.. Libertore Alderez. He hid me away with my uncle on my mother's side, commoners. The Terranas. We're cousins, supposedly. Which would make my father your dad's brother".
Vincente raised an eyebrow in piqued interest, opening his mouth slowly. "Do you know where your father is now?" He asked eagerly.
Raffaello sighed and shook his head, rather clearly stung by the question. "If I knew that, I wouldn't be here now." He retorted coldly. "My uncle passed away only a few days ago, leaving me with my dad's Sabre. He told me where to find you before he died." Raffaello continued in a more relaxed tone, looking Vincente in the eyes.
"He told me you would train me, and take me in as a member of the family, and I would like that very much." Raffaello finished, his gaze turning from sadness to a firm resolve.
