FAM

FAM is playing tricks. I got it to work for a little while, but then my accounts disappeared (including the one I'm playing right now) and I get an error 2147024770 when I try to log on. A scan for new accounts produces the same error. Any idea what's wrong, how I can fix it, and so on? I've probably already lost the Katana character on the spare...

EDIT: And while I'm at it, the window to the right of the screen on Gmax, the one with all the editing controls, has left the building. any idea how I get it back?

EDIT Mk II: Oops, wrong place. If the Moderators are so pleased...?

That error might be due to a bad install.

I don't have my numbers; when I pull up the Examine FL Account ID, it comes up blank, apparently the registry has been deleted. Any idea how I can get it back, or how I can back up the account manually? If I lose what I have now I'd basically have to leave Discovery for lack of time to rebuild...Don't want to do that.

eppy, go into your freelancer exe folder.

find the file 'myflaccountid' and open it. write down the first 6 or so numbers.

go to run in the start menu and put in 'regedit'

in regedit, find (f3) that string of numbers. it should lead you to where your registry is storing your full account details,

from there copy-paste it into FAM (I also keep a backup text file of it, but its up to you)
