' Wrote:Oh my god. If I was a Zoner in that situation with the BAF and the [A]. I would have ended both problems in a single frickin' day. How can people complicate it sooo much. Geeeez.
They got real, hard evidence on Tomoe breaking the law in Bretonia, so they want him to face trial. Send him there then! Why did you have to be so stubborn and invite half the sirius for a SINGLE person. Haha. I don't get it.
And the [A]? If you had any brains you would simply continue sending food shipments to Crete. ONE SINGLE INCIDENT, if you had recorded only one, where that food convoy was destroyed by us. We would have been hostile to the Corsairs before you could even say Faction Right Five. But noooo, you must go to the forums and put some kind of protest against the Corsairs, refusing to send shipments based on the fact that we raided a Freeport and whine that we ruin your life.
My god. So simple.
In a way it's funny because it's true.
On the other hand I've found myself, given the way that things have progressed, wondering if anything would have come of it if the Zoners had played it perfectly (which I feel would require nothing less than a miracle, given the helmsmen they employ.)
My current perspective is that the Zoners would, more likely than not, would have been put in a position of weathering the storm until you got bored rather than rely on any manner of divine intervention from the Council of Elders should you have started popping chow shipments. I mean, heck, if the [A] did pop a food transport there's a pretty good chance it would have been an Elder doing it.
I got personally warned by the Sails Faction Leader that if I so much shot down a single Zoner heading with food to Crete, we would have been ended. This was after the second day the [A] existed.
Yes the Sails Faction Leader. Yes those that supported us from the very beginning.

[2010-09-15 22:05:51] Martin Vllko: we need to talk about these zoner attacks
[2010-09-15 22:06:05] Martin Vllko: first of all, i dont care if you shoot them when they are roaming around
[2010-09-15 22:06:06] Martin Vllko: BUT
[2010-09-15 22:06:20] Martin Vllko: shooting them when they are taking stuff to us is against the law
[2010-09-15 22:06:24] Martin Vllko: the corsair law
[2010-09-15 22:06:39] Martin Vllko: if you continue in it, you will get a fr5

We were joking about it at the time. It was more forsight.
As in:
Me: Dude, I bet you that the Zoners are going to be super good diplomats and have the whole thing result in war within a week.
Sina: I hope so or we'll be FR5'd and die T_T

You feelin' me?
Sort of. I would have believed it at the time. I'm not so sure now.

Yeh, I'm feeling you.
I'm also feeling the fact that FP9 sells Food that Corsair transport ships could have easily purchased.
If we're going by the whole food business via lore, the only thing you'll see is that Zoners provide food.
No where does it say that Zoners deliver it.
Edit: I don't even know who ninja hacked the concept that Zoners deliver goods to Crete. Everywhere I read it says they bring goods to Freeport 9 and redistribute it there. That's really the whole bloody point of Freeports. Corsairs can't land on corporate stations but they can land on Zoner bases.
' Wrote:hm. i must say that i dont know... but. are we saying that it will die without them?...
thats the big difference for me.
people are saying that corsairs must be depended on zoners, because zoners deliver them food.
but noone is saying to zoners that they must deliver the food to corsairs...
see my point?
Originally, the Zoners didn't do house calls. It was more a Driv Thru Take-Away. You didn't see Zoner NPCs jumping to Gamma and taking the food to Crete, it was Corsair Titan 'freighter' patrols who did the shopping and brought the groceries home, so to speak.
The onus to collect your food that you want is on you, really. Of course, I know ingame doing that sort of run is boring, which is why Corsairs prefer to sit outside Crete or do missions.
Is this thread really still going? Anyways, lets all keep talking about how we got here oorp (myself included, I am just as guilty of it) instead of trying to work it out in rp. Problem is people dont want to work it out, so they make oorp threads to try and win thier position that way. (Corsairs included, I am annoyed by the amount of oorp threads started by Corsairs, and members of the Brotherhood in particular.)

EDIT: Bluespawn got there first, heh.
That might be how vanilla saw it, but I can tell you in disco, the Zoners have always been expected to deliver food in exchange for thier neutral status.
