Chess, yes. Two houses, not as much. Since both have restrictions. I could still do the best I could for both factions without really hampering myself. However, it wasn't intended for me to do that. I was interim BAF leader, never permanent. However, due to some factors which made me less than pleased with the situation, I decided to leave BAF entirely than to just step back down into the 2nd in Command slot. It wasn't entirely a drama-fueled decision either, I've simply run out of time for all this stuff with real life going on. But as I said above, I will not be going into details about the BAF.
I can say with 100% guarantee that Dab left the BAF of his own accord, with the highest esteem of his fellow players. There was no conflict, nor animosity, nor is there any now. Dab's choices are his own, his play style and his RP have been sterling throughout.
Dab it is always a pleasure to work with you, and irregardless of what a Troll or two may think, thank you for your service to Bretonia, the BAF, and to BretGov.

One person must be leader of one faction. Otherwise it would be not fair and/or will create few strange situations.
I dont know why you left both BAF and GRN though... But not me who tell you what to do:D

I'm just a teeny bit concerned that you've actually put some thought into what it would take to bring the AW back in modern-day Discovery.

Incorrect. These would be the kind of false rumors that makes Discovery the negative, drama-fueled place it has become.
I was never "told", "ordered", "demanded" or anything of the sort concerning either faction. Choosing to remain ignorant instead of talking to the principal parties of the situation to truly determine the facts concerning them is what plagues Discovery, don't perpetuate it.

It didn't take any thought. But would you be concerned if AW ships started appearing in Sirius?

Funny I signed the petition against you. I guess it had some decisions being done as a result.
And there was quite a few other people who did the same.
Yes, there were about 14 people who signed a petition to get me removed from GRN leader. That petition was there to be signed by GRN members. I will admit, it was funny when there were more signatures than there were members in the GRN to sign it, and when most GRN I spoke to didn't even know it existed. But that's neither here nor there. I stepped down from BAF for reasons that are only the business of those in the BAF HC. I'm still presently GRN leader while we decide how we're going to establish the next leader, which was planned to be Alley, until she left factions for the same reason I am.
If you think there was any sort of forced retirement, ask Alvin, Dieter, or the admins and they will tell you to stuff it. (Oh wait, Alvin already did.)
P.S. A bunch of signatures from people not in my faction, telling me what to do with my faction, never has, and never will, affect the decisions I make concerning those factions. The only opinions that have any say in those situations, are the opinion of my faction members, those friends whose opinions on that topic I value, and the admins.
P.P.S. And the total of 14 signatures (4 of the 18 total were double votes) is not going to get anyone anywhere on a server of several hundred.
