The above should apply for a police ship demanding something they saw on the LAGnet, too. They can make all the private demands they want, because the rule is about what needs to be done before firing on someone. Once the police ship is within weapons range of the ship they're demanding from, they're also in range for local chat, and the police ship can make a public demand. So this works out fine.
What if, when getting to scanner range, the policeman/navyman/whatever does not repeat the same demand in local chat, but refers to what he said in PM?

Yeah, but you can't demand at long range and kill on sight (if another allied vessel is near the target) in order of said demand in privat channel. That's all i wanted to know.
