In that fight my poor Gb got squished between the GALACTICA and an Albatross and went down real quick. I have no idea if they used flak on it or not.

That battle was the biggest one I've ever seen. We lost all our battlestars but 1. Had you coordinated the fire a bit more, you'd probably win. Your ships were way better anyway.

Why does BSG want flak to stay?

Why doesn't anyone fighting against us want it to stay?


My idea is to replace the flak or modif it to become a Starlancer-like anti-cap torpedo. Slow, big, possible to shoot down, requiring ammo (ammo limit not 70, bt dependant on cargo space - 2 cargo space per torp)

Redoing the mortars would work too. Nobody uses them now, because they are inefficient - poundin the enemy with primaries is a better deal than firing a volley of heavy mortars. Plus the risk of missing.

Tank Target: In WW2, the flaks were exploding at a predestined altitude, and it was effective, especially against bomber formations. But the flak couldn't take a plane from one hit, that's for sure. But here, it takes out a bs:lol:

OOOOOOOOOOOO getting rid of weapons that do alot of damdge to vanilla ships? Tanky does that mean no more Dual cannonballs/sunslayer?

Well...those are evadable... And they don't instantly kill. Flak is tad of an imbalance. And Razr if you don't have the intelligence to make an intelligent post. Then please refrain we are trying to keep the mod balanced so that people do not have an unfair advantage over people. And for the record, flak can take out 7 fighters at once and make a fleet of Outcast Dreadnoughts worthless....

Provided one knows how to use these guns... They are evadable... barely... If you can evade the CD, the flak does you no harm in a fighter.

While we're at capship fights, I believe they should take place over MUCH bigger distances han the 2k

Then - there would be no point hovering in closer and getting into flak range if you could pound the enemy from say...6k with primary turrets.
