Gerald, seeing as his table was just smashed, taking all of his food minus the cup of coffee in his hand, sat awkwardly as he was now without a place to put his cup, or any food to exchange the going-to-be free hand with.
He still sat there, as the man was shot and another officer or two started to pile into the Cafe. Finally fed up with not being able to place his cup anywhere, he slid the chair back, stood up, and walked over to the man causing all this.
Taking his half full styrofoam cup, Gerald lifted it up quickly, then made his hand switch directions, and smash the cup the officers head, letting the coffee run down.
"Never make me waste a cup again, mon ami, or you shall pay." He said as he started to wander to the now destroyed bar to see if the coffee maker survived.
"Mmm," Amelie sighed. "Find out who's division this officer is in. I'll be getting my coffee."
She walked over to the counter and placed her order.

Gerald grumbled as he looked around the bar for the coffee maker. After looking for a few seconds, he found it hiding under a wooden board. After uncovering it, it was clear why it was hiding. It was smashed up, missing the pump, and seemed to have both internal and external coffee bleeding.
He quickly pulled out his personal pistol, a 6 chamber magnum with seemed to date from Earth, and fired two high powered shells into the dieing coffee maker, which exploded.
"No, I did not. And if that poor coffee maker wasn't in pain and helpless, I would of put these shells into that guy than putting it to rest."
The figure drops the stool and gun to the ground, rolling their head on their shoulder, before letting down the hood.
Standing before them was the new transfer from Burgundy, Christene Chevalier. She straightens her hair before shooting Gerald a glare.
"My apologese Monsieur Perrot, the prisoner escaped from my ship during a refueling and I chased him here. He managed to escape from the cuffs, and as you can probably see, threw me through the Cafe door."
She rolls her shoulders
"Too bad I had to shoot him, he may have had intel on a large Council base in Burgundy."
He laid his saber down, holding it gently at his side. Striding up, with a look of utter contempt on his face, he came within just a few feet of the robed figure.
"Two questions. One; Why the hell are you in a robe? Two; Why do you insist of ruining my favorite cafe? It's taken enough abuse, mon dieu!"
He glanced over at Gerald. "Mon ami, you have a problem."
She stares back at Perrot with a slight smile on her face
"What does it matter what I wear? Could it be that I despise the very reveling uniform you gave me? Or is it the fact that I can conceal my favorite weapons in this robe?"
She looks at the dead prisoner
"In any case, we have one dead mass murderer, and don't people usually get medals for that?"
