Gaunt, the nomad mind-powers are all well and good when consensual, but if someone doesn't want to be influenced by them, it is their right as a player to ignore them.

Im saying this with the experience of playing a Nomad infested Charicture.

When one pushes those 'powers' on unwilling players, it -is- powergaming.

Like I've said about 3 times now, I don't care that Minerva's ability as an empath were over-ridden, I'm annoyed that it was completely and totally ignored.

Also, powergaming was kinda inclusive in the first post, as it melds with me explicitly stating I wasn't there for a fight.

Well. I wasn't surprised after immediately talking to Dii - that you have yet again lied and/or manipulated the words written there to your own gain.

A direct quote from Dii on Skype, since he is forum banned he can't post himself:

It must be so difficult to sink a GB with that many fighters. Especially when it explicitly states it's there for passive reasons, and you go quite literally "Oh look keeper. Charging weapons. Engaging." Great RP before it:)

Some people will, sorry to say, receive minimal RP before being shot. The only time this is acceptable is in the case of intruders in Omicrons Iota and 99, as well as Omegas 55 and 58 (in the case of the Wild)"

You cannot expect one of the Nomads archenemies to allow you access in anyway to their domain. Plus, due to historical precedent, allow Nomads time to do anything. Your kind did not allow much in the way of discourse in the past so we respond in kind.

So, lets move on to other pet peeves.

My friend, I understand you wish to partake in a thread that mentions your name, but I'm afraid you mistaken here. We fought a Keeper Nomad Gunboat. Not a Morph.

No, there is no flaming on the [LN] side.

We are just trying to defend our name from being dragged through the mud by a liar. Who has also now made one of his friends incredibly angry, not me that is.

I know that, but just about everything Gaunt says in pretty much complaining the Minerva got shot. Even then, they still brought a battleship and a gunboat to NY to talk in system chat, spreading fear around.

Aware of fact...just overall exhibit of Nomad point of view. They defend their domain with ferocity and must expect same from others. In addition, general storyline has Nomad, regardless of mutation, the bane of Humanity. So, his desire to be viewed as a victim is moot. We responded as protectors of Humanity ought verus our archenemy.

Okay, so. I've had a smoke, taken some time to chill the heck out, and here's where I stand now.

I'm withdrawing my claims of ganking, and engagement with poor RP behind it. I guess that might A) be a perception thing, and B) me freaking out with a bazillion red curves on my screen from high-refire weapons. So I apologize for these, and realize I might very well be incorrect.

I'll also extend another apology to Dii, while I'm here, even if he can't read it. I shouldn't have pulled him into this.
