They're all the same to me, really. A few extra points of damage and energy consumption isn't that big of a difference. Also, I just noticed how SOLARIS is almost exactly like Barrager V's.

I've always been a big Excal fan but I'm slowly starting to like Medusas a bit more.

I agree with the others. Solaris and Dulzians are crap. The Dulzian kind of makes up for it with a nice projectile. You are almost better off going with Barragers or even Purple Goddess.

Hmm, I say the type of CODES depends on the players skill.. I would say the Pheonix is the best CODE for me, it's got a nice name, as well as fitting my flight patterns.

My opinion is outdated

Why are you at a tie between the Dulzian (??? its terrible) and the Heimdall (same as Excalibur but uses 10 more energy per shot)?

This one, really. Get yourself a pair of Excals (used to have those on multiple ships myself at times)

'Nuff said.

Well, depends on the ship you are using them on. Pretty frustrating on an eagle or something with a similar small core I'd say.

In terms of power for damage and overall stats: Excalibur. 20 damage less then the Archangel per shot, but it consumes considerably less energy allowing for longer bursts of fire. It also has the highest efficiency rating (damage for power) of all codes.

If you need higher projectile speed (combining with a Deb MK2) it's a tossup between the Golden Blade and the Claymore. I personally would favor the Golden Blade due to it's higher damage potential, but on fighters with a smaller power core, the Claymore might be more effective.

Golden Blade. Because 650. That's it.

I can't help but feel that it would depend on who you are.
By this I mean what ship you are flying (powercore), what your ID states, and no small amount of personal choice.

If you belong to a faction who uses pulse weapons with a projectile speed of 600, then the choice is dependant on four things. Availability, refire rate, energy cost and shot type. A fat shot type can limit your vision of the target in jousting for example. Energy cost reflects upon your ship and refire rate is a personal choice.

If the faction you belong to doesn't have 600m/s pulse weapons, then I would imagine any of the faster projectile speed weapons are better to match the standard Sirius tech pulse gear available.
Having said that, there are certain pilots out there who can overcome this problem quite easily.

All the 2.00's that do atleast 1300 damage per shot do great for me.

That. Projectile speed is weakest side of codes, so 650 m/s is great. I prefer CLAYMORE because of cute white projectiles. GOLDEN BLADE is good too if you use it with debs (almost same color).
