The Gold Tear Pub

No place needs a pub like a warship; the crew needs to be distracted on their off-hours from the hustle and bustle of each day's hard work. The Molly Destroyer, a stationary installation that offers passing pilots a place of respite, however, needs more than just a pub. And until recently, it was sorely lacking in this area. Until Collin O'Malley set to work to turn an unused cargo storage area into a fully functional bar.

After nearly a year of devoting his off hours aboard the Molly Destroyer to refitting the storage space, with the Captain's approval, of course, his work is finally finished! The kegs are set up against the far wall, and the bar is long and well-stocked. Stools ring the bar, and benches follow the walls. In the middle of it all are tables and stools, as well as a Billiards table, darts, and a jukebox which can usually be heard playing such old favorites as Flogging Molly or Dropkick Murphys.

The booze flows freely and the crowd is jovial and well-spirited, even when a brawl occasionally breaks out. Collin is on duty most of the day, having been promoted to ship's "Morale Officer".

Above the door is a sign that says "Corsairs Need Not Apply".

it have been a odd day, corsairs dying on the left, Bretonians shooting at Kusarians,
and the miners have been shivering from the amount of non-molly pirates.

but now he had to fly trough hostile space, undetected to get to the "Creidhne", a hidden destroyer
commanded by a loyal captain, supervised by the molly council. that is what they think,
a small grin appeared on liam's face when he tought of the truth about this base,

but he was not here for such things, liam went to the newly forced bar, inside a empty cargo bay.
while he was at the doorstep he saw the little sign saying: "Corsairs need not apply"
he looked towards the bartender, nodded and went to a private table in the back of the pub,
where he could privately meet his guest.

An older man in a black leisure suit enters the pub and casually glances around the impromptu establishment. He had been waiting for some time to meet with this man, a Councilor of the Molly Separatists. There he was, near the back: a burly Molly who had an aura of authority.

Iscariot walks up and slides into the chair across from him and quietly says "Thank you for agreeing to meet with me." He speaks with a plain Libertonian accent, and his eyes are piercing.

Just after his 4th beer, a man walks up to him.
his guest had arrived, slowly stood liam up,
as any man of authority should do in this place.

when his guest sad down, he went down on his chair.
with a quik look at the bartender,
a small gesture pointing at his beerglass and his guest.

with a look direct to his geust, raising his eyebrown while hearing the
odd but funny Libertonian accent of his geust.

Liam started to talk, Oi, yer be'ng me guest 'ere, havve a drink,
he lifted his glass, and in one go, his glass wich was filled with the finest beer
was empty.

So, yer lad want'd to be talk'ng 'bout busy-ness.
said liam, while looking staight into the eyes of his guest.

"I'm not much of a drinker," he said, but as the mug full of brew was brought, Iscariot knew that he would lose a lot of respect in Liam's eyes if he were to decline the drink or just sip at it.

Iscariot drained the mug in one swig, putting the mug down and trying to hide a grimace. He was a Liberty Ale man, and this was stronger and harder. "Yes, the Phantoms are interested in strengthening ties with the Mollys. We've had... incidents... in the past, including Mollys joining the BAF to hunt Phantoms. On the top of that list is a Molly bomber that the Tenebrous took down as it tried to help the BAF battlegroup chasing it.

"One thing we are interested in is setting up shipments of Molly gold to Freeport 10, where we will pick it up. One thing I'm here for is to see if that's acceptable, and what payment the Mollys would like."

While he was looking at his guest,
he saw a small doubt in his eyes about the beer that was infront of him,

Suprised as liam was about his guest, he did noticed that he drank his beer in one swing,
tough with a small counter-reaction of the body, as if it was struggling with this amount of beer.
Liam grinned towards his guest, and softly said, if yer didn't want'd it, yer jus'coul'ave said so

it was getting louder in the pub, as it was a usual time for the average molly to drink and drink some more,
beer was flowing freely around the bar and every molly was getting louder,

Liam took a small piece of paper, and wrote something on it,
while looking at his guest, he gave the paper towards one of the galls that were
sitting on the table next to him, the galls gigled as only a molly lass could do.

now 'bout yer deal, oi be thinking of a small sum towards us, and yer be gettin yer gold
said liam, while slowly drinking his freshly brought beer, aswell as his geust had one infront of him.

"It's more than just gold, Liam," Iscariot said, sipping his second mug. Not too much; to be honest, it scared him to think of what would happen with lowered inhibitions. The Phantoms had taken a well-tuned killing machine and placed it on the razor's edge. "It's about... friendship. I understand, somewhat, the situation in Bretonia. It's very volatile, especially in Dublin. We both know if Kusari wins, they'll treat you worse than BMM ever did, and if Bretonia wins you'll still not get what you want. It's the way of things. We're in need of some small amount of supplies, maybe a place to put our ships... and we're willing to pay credits and deliver you dead Bretonians and Kusarians for this."

one of'em be'ng witouth beer, the oth'r one I be not know'ng yet.

'bout the kussies liam continued, we've been bragging baffers since we've start'd. we've seen more men
an'boys die from 'eir side, then on'our side.

as liam was talking about the good faith he had about his men against kusarians and bretonians,
the past of himself, how he did what he had to do, to get in this position within the molly council.

hours went by and beer flowed freely from the bar, it was a evening like usual for any molly.
tough one person was slower, and more carefully looking around, the bartender noticed that the beer
of liam's guest was flat again, and refreshed his beer.

dead kussies and dead baffers is'nt all we "want" said liam calmly,
at th's point I be send'n some people into places whe're no molly has gone b'fore.
but today our conversation be ended, Liam handed over a small pass to his guest,
on it was printed a number and some text very clearly, (~696~ Cabin -Bridge deck-)
get yer sleep, 'morrow at 9 we be talkin' further. said liam with a smile on his face,
knowing that he just gave his guest a place near the staircase, where it was noisy all night long.
He walked out of the Pub, in a straight line, wondering how his guest would walk out.

Iscariot took the card and stood up, maintaining control over his movements that mostly masked the fact that he was about to fall over. Rather than making him more aggressive, he felt all the sleep he had been missing lately crash down on him -- the nights where he lie awake, wondering about his lot in life. He managed to keep up the facade long enough to get to his room, but he fell into the bed and was asleep in a matter of seconds, sleeping the slumber of the dead.

8.30am local time, Bells and horns started to make noise, no living men could sleep trough that,
in the staircase the sound of boots upwards to the bridge, aswell as downward to the crew decks.

a few moments later the noise was gone, pure silence again.
however not for long, with a loud bang liam knocked on the door of his geust.
while it was earlier then expected, he tought that his guest would been awake by now.

Oi, lad, waky-waky, breakfast is be served! said liam with a smile on his face, still looking at the closed
door of his geust.
