Makc is how my name looks like russian. and _RU is merely suggesting to the people that I am russian. That is how people find each other on the internet.
For example, you play an online game and you want to meet another players that are from your country or whatnot. You just put a little indicator after your name or call yourself in a way that other people would understand what you mean and contact you.
