The reference to Lane Hackers in Vespucci is a simple mistake. In point of fact, there will be no Lane Hacker Guard system anywhere after the Hackers leave Vespucci. Though Zelot proofread the text before it was posted publicly, he very well may have been completely unaware of the following developments. Igiss merely forgot about them, which is easily understandable given the huge amount of time that has lapsed during this development cycle.
Rather than desiring an exclusive system for ourselves, we (meaning players, not Lane Hacker characters) have been given the opportunity to guide future development of a relatively undeveloped public system on the outskirts of Liberty space, to which we will bring an ongoing storyline/mystery as a subplot to the main Discovery storyline, commercial development directly benefiting 2 of Liberty's major corporations (bases, commodities, & trade), and Sirius' only Hacker Guard outpost (which will be quite modest). Having said all that, the credit goes to Hribek for the coding and story development as well as the guiding vision for this sub-project, while together we worked on infocards & rumors, and I mismanaged the trade routes.

I'm still reading the thread and I dunno if this has been addressed yet or not, but you're saying, Zelot, that since the Hellfire Legion wants to determine what they do and what sort of faction they are, instead of leaving it up to a totally disinterested party who probably doesn't care about them at all in the greater scheme of things, they don't get to be included at all?
So the Colonial Remnant shouldn't be included in any storyline, ever, at all, because they want to decide how their faction acts towards other factions instead of letting the devs decide everything, when the devs have no reason to care about them at all.
THIS MAKES PERFECT SENSE, TOTALLY.

Oy! Be nice to Anne!
' Wrote:The intro looks nice, but the rest looks rushed and hazy.
Theres nothing about Hellfire Legion or the Liberty Security Force.
The part about LPI is, well wrong. We all know that it is no longer Government owned in roleplay.
I can't understand why Xeno's would be heading to Bretionia. They are full on anti-foreign trade and the us of robots to replace those in work, for which both Bretionia and Kusari use, plus Liberty. So they will have little care for Gallia yet.
Just does not reflect anything at all, Rogues only care for piracy, and are disorganised. In that you get the idea they are well organized.
Only good thing is for the Hackers That comes truely to my mind. With the relations to Order.
Everything else As i have said above I cannot understand at all.
Basically this.
' Wrote:And this is why Factions don't have control over the development of their factions storyline.
So factions don't decide what those factions do because the devs think "no that's stupid we shouldn't let them decide how to rp their rp"
So this is what Disco really is. I think we're done here, gents.
' Wrote:I feel like I must express my uncertainty regarding such concept of Lane Hacker ships travelling through Alaska (and 2 Guard systems). I find this somewhat unfeasible considering the risk involved in doing so for a faction as small as them. Why would the hacker have more ease to travel through these systems when the Order has been doing so for years (17-18 in fact).
I strongly believe that it would be more logical for the Hackers to act as a contact instead of a courier for the Order. The Order, from my viewpoint, is more adequate and fitted to travel through these systems without being killed by nomads (after all, they've been fighting them for 18 years) or captured/killed by Liberty Navy.
I have to agree on this one, Hackers never had such direct contact with Order that would make them act as couriers for Order, and especially would not go as far as Minor and Mu. But, this is not something very concerning at the moment, so, we will see.
Generally, I like where the story is going, I do think Gallians are taking quite large bite, and won't be able to handle it for longer, but that's not my concern :)
' Wrote:And watch out, Zelot might delete all your posts for no reason, saying that they're unhelpful.
No 4.86 is unhelpful, it has basically turned what we keep being told is a RP server into a PvP server with minimal RP potentia except in certain areas and only if we follow the lines laid out for us. Under the understanding that any RP we actually do is subject to revision without our knowledge or input!
Still I suppose we should have expected this. Some of us were told weeks ago that if we wanted to RP then we would have limited prospects in the future, and;
[quote] Kusari is going to be written off as a RP deadzone in 4.86 and the Blood Dragons can choose to be a PvPwhore faction or die since they will become about the most isolated faction on the server.[unquote]
