She plays with her knife while watching FTL speed effects on Terminus bridge.

Dave entered the Bridge and heard Adriana's question.

Dave : Infact Adriana, there is no FTL speed at all as you imagine. The warp drive creates sub-space dilatations which permits the ship to make 'shortcuts' into normal space.

He takes then a white paper and folds it explaining the warp effect to Adriana.

Dave : Ok so I have this paper, on the both edges of this piece of paper there stands point A, our location, and point B, our destination. From A to B there are almost ... 5000 LYs. The warp drive, folds the normal space *he then folded the paper* and brings point A and B in the same location. So we go to point B by simple standing, allowing the warp drive to do its job. When the space returns to its normal state, we are not in point A anymore... but in point B.

After explaining this to her, he put a long smile on his face, showing the appreciation that she listened to his interesting explanation.

Sector Position: Omicron 54, Warping towards Omicron Minor.

When Joe arrived at the engine room everything was OK, he checked with multiple supervisors to ensure the safety and stabilty of the ship. When everything he could have done was done he took a moment to sit down and overlook his next steps.

When he tried to re-enjoy his cigar he noticed that the damned thing was broken in half but still it was being held by his hand. knowing that a broken cigar is the worst thing that could happen to any man at any moment he decided to grab another cigar from his chest pocket.

Joe : I know The Colonel doesn't like it when I smoke a cigar on the bridge, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...

Once again, he smiles while lighting his cigar. Thus, leaving a trail of smoke, when he headed for the bridge.

Sector Position: Omicron 54, Warping towards Omicron Minor

Jack was standing near the navigator on the bridge, the distance between the Terminus and Omicron Minor reduced significantly. They were almost in deadspace, and then into the heliosphere of Omicron Minor, followed by the typical green cloud of the Edge Nebula.

Joe walked calmly into the CIC deck, he then sighted The Colonel, walked towards him and the others and gave him the status report

Joe : Sir, the engine room is at 100%, there is no damage whatsoever. Ive checked with the supervisors and its under control. But then again, what was it that hit us, sir?

While Joe waited for The Colonel to reply he quickly hid his cigar.

Zaph poked his head thought the door to check and see if it was ok for him to enter. Entering anyways, able to or not, Zaph looked out into space and saw that they we're close to home (At least his home).

Zaph: ''Sorry to interrupt, but what was that?''

Jack was looking at a holographic galaxy map of the Minky Way, when Daniels and Whicks walked in, he turned towards then while closing the holographical projector.

Jack : Oh that.. that's probably an asteroid that hit us on the bow. No worries about that.

Joe sighted of relief knowing that there wasn't some huge gap in the ship. Evenso, how could there be a gap with the armor rating of The Terminus?

Joe : Good to know sir, is there anything else i can do to be of assistance?

He quickly took a look at his cigar which was still behind his back, luckily it was still lit...

Location: Launch Pad

Dr. Thomas Whicks quickly did a pre-flight check with The Venture, a Zoner Corvo he contracted from... well, the Zoners.

'Almost done... Engines, Hot; Weapons, off; Launch Stabalizers.... Stabalizing.'

He was going to meet everyone outside Toledo as the launched from The Terminus and continued onto the expidition.

But something didn't feel right. Something seemed out of place...
Maybe he forgot something on his checklist. The Doctor of Xenoology sighed as he started back at the top of the list.

Aboard CSF Terminus

Dave heard about the small impact that Terminus had with the asteroid and he was rather relieved. He then went alone in the Observation Deck, watching Toledo, as he was "meditating" on something. After a few moments he contacted Ashley who was aboard the Legion. He accessed the Quantum Communicator to hail the Legion located somewhere in Delta.

Dave : Hey Ash....*with a rather sad tone*

Ashley : Hey Dave, is something wrong ?

Dave : Yes, I will leave ... to Gallia, with the Terminus, my Bastet is already in the docking bay.. I might not return..

Ashley : Why are you ... stop saying this ! How can you even say that ? Listen, you are not going alone... Jack will always be with you... you know you can trust him !

Dave : Yes Ash, It's not about that, for the first time.. I don't know what we can find over there... They protected their systems with dozens of mines.... around several jump holes ! They must protect something, and our Intel from the Council on the Reunion... they locked their original systems up. They can hold some technological secrets unknown for us ! Who knows.. I never saw their ships... I dont even have any brief of their technological progress... They can hold many suprises for us... un-wanted surprises...

Ashley : Dave things may not go bad as you think, I know ... there might be lots of surprises, but think positive, after all you are member of the most advanced organizations in Sirius right ? So use your qualities and everything will be fine...

Dave : Also the Legion will be under your command until I return ..

Ashley : Understood Dave, and take care ...

Dave : I will, don't worry, I will send you several subspace messages viat the local Quantum Communicator.

Ashley : Good bye Dave ...

Dave : Good bye Ash...

Then Dave sadly, turned off the communicator as he returned to the CIC where there were the others.
