Bolevara made his entrance soon after. Seeing four of them seated around the table made him shake his head. Hunter had a damn huge family. Interesting thing was, he didn't recognize any of the new faces, so he shrugged and decided to introduce himself.


"I'm Santos Bolevara."

He lowered himself into a chair with a grunt, and looked around.

"Vodka? Will do, I suppose."

He opened up a bottle and poured five glasses, then settled down with his.

[Jeremy Hunter]

"Seth Hunter. Jeremy's tempermental brother." He didn't make eye contact. "This is my XO, Alyson Hawke."
Alyson gave Santos a smile. "Hello Santos."
Jeremy rubbed his temples, then took a sip of vodka. "Any chance we all can have one day to just sleep?" He asked. The dark circles stood out more, and which prompted Jeremy to rub his eyes. "Yeah, if Tawaret and Amduat don't give us a frakking break, we're liable to fly asleep. Not that half of us can fly asleep anyways, but it's nice to be awake when you're being shot at."
Aqua let a small smile show as she sipped her vodka. "Or, at least, up the coffee and soda rations to keep the caffeine flowing."

[Lennox]

In the hangars of the Thebes, Lennox was inspecting the engines of his ship, trying to improve something, that could save him his life sooner or later. Looking around at the other ships as well, he sighed.

"Never less than twenty ships here..."

He said to himself, finishing the work on his Eagle. Doing some last tests, he then headed to the bar to find some rest before he would continue with working on the improvement on the ships. As he entered, he could hear the last words from Jeremy.

"If there would be possibilities to give you longer breaks without losing strenght at the frontlines and patrols, you would already sleep, I think."

A voice came from the direction of the entrance. They could notice Lennox walking into the bar, towards them.

"Remember it's for our all survival. Nobody here slept longer than four hours. But we will have to get over it."

[Rodent]

Bolevara took a long swig from his glass.

"Hola, Alyson, Seth."

He leaned back in his chair and stretched out his legs for more comfort.

"Sleeping is nice. Better with company."

Bolevara snorted. Now was really not the time to think about his unsated libido. Just then, he saw Lennox coming towards them. He gave a short wave.

"Hola, Johan. Don't think we'll get much rest from here, compadres. We'll just have to make do. Just one day after another, and then someday I'll just bloody get up and get posted on Ainu, permanently. That'd be easy on the eyes at least."

Bolevara grinned briefly.

"Perhaps not. Still, it's tempting to think about at times. Anyways, what's the news these days? I've been pretty focused on the Arch business, and haven't been updated in a while...

[Lennox]

Lennox looked at Bolevara, nodding in response and then crossed his arms.

"Hola...and well. You might have noticed, the Nomads have changed their behavior a lot...since the 'event' in Omicron Minor. And even before that. We are gonna try to find out what is up with that."

He briefly looked away, thinking, before looking back at Bolevara and Hunter.

"Therefore no good news of course. The Nomads will spread out...and that means more work for us. The arch is only the beginning. Many events will follow."

He paused and sighed, knowing he can't tell everything anyway.

"And that are already enough problems to solve..."

[Jeremy Hunter]

"Besides making sure Thebes and Akabat are up and running, not much happens." Jeremy downed his vodka. "Could use more medical supplies down at Camp Giza; there's never enough, and a nice chunk was used to bring back our fearless leader." He rubs his eyes. "As for the Nomads spreading...if the houses keep playing dumb and not telling the general public, riots be damned, then of course they will spread. How can you put in countermeasures against a threat when you know nothing of the threat?"

"Sure, more work for us Lennox. Exactly what we needed."

There is a note of slight sarcasm in Bolevara's voice.

"We'll still do it nonetheless. Although I'd do things differently..."

He trails off, not sure if this is a can of worms he wants to open.

"Saw Golanski, Si. Pretty good job they did. And the houses know of the threat well enough, but most of them have their heads so far up their *******s that they don't pay any attention to it. The politicians and rulers, I mean."

Bolevara huffed and downed another glass. The stuff was good.

[Lennox]

He looked at Jeremy with a frown and shook his head.

"Oh...there are a lot of things going on outside the Omicrons already. Running our own installations is just an additional factor, that makes everything harder to plan, in terms of how to spread our recources. The houses might be dumb in their believe they are safe..or whatever they are thinking, but that does not matter we shouldn't care about that. You get my point."

Lennox sighed and then glanced at Bolevara.

"And yes...the houses know about it, at least the leaders do. Although, they will face something they won't understand at first. There are a lot of things, that have changed about the Nomads since...one of the...since Minor. We are the ones, who have to make sure those people, who treat us terrorists and what not, live. That's the name we stand for. The Order will continue it's job and we have to give our best to make that sure. To bring order back into the chaos. Not only caused by the Nomads. But that's something else..."

He then stopped and ordered himself a glass of water.

"And that's something everyone of us should do...with the same effort you would protect your life with."

[Jeremy Hunter]

"I know Lennox." Jeremy sighed, pushing his empty vodka glass away. "They tried to destroy Toledo once. They only gave us a clean-up job. The took out the entire damn planet this time, and now look. Khepri, Kheops, Svizra. They change, they fight more, but we? We change, and we fight harder. Damned be what the Houses say.
"We've lost more people in one battle then any other House can say. The only good thing is that they can't say it. They think hiding the fact the Nomads exist, like Liberty does, will help? Riots are easier to calm down when you don't have most of your fleet trying to save the planet."

Jeremy rubbed his temples. He sighed.

"Lennox, I've put my life on the line more times then I'd care to count to you. And my effort is not really to protect my life, but my family's. Can't do that if I'm dead."

Jeremy ordered a glass of water as well, not in the mood for alcohol.

Bolevara listened, taking sips from his glass from time to time. His mouth turned upwards in amusement at their talks.

"Very dramatic, you two."

He said in a voice laden with sarcasm.

"I prefer to let my actions do the talking."

Jeremy's dedication to his family had struck a chord in Bolevara though. He hadn't contacted his familia on Crete for...a long time. For a short while, he was reminded of easier times, a young corsair hunting for glory and prey, so that the night would be filled with celebration and drinks and whores...

He shook his head. His youth had passed, and his days as a corsair had ended. He could not deny it still defined him as a person, but there were more important things to take care of.

"The houses don't regain their senses, they'll pay. Can't say I'm looking forward to that infierno...."

Looking at Hunter, he was suddenly and sharply reminded of an generic intel report he had read a few hours earlier.

"By the way, Hunter. Seems like your madre enlisted for the navy primary. So the reports say anyways. Conflict of interest much?

He said, blunt as always. Bolevara preferred all the facts on the table, and to deal with them summarily. He watched Hunter intently, his response would decide a lot of things, in his favor or against.
