Well I just found out that will not do me any good... as I put the files into the directory manually... and have the same exact problem. I know how to fix this but... the solution means I can only use one account ID. As it means I have to turn the ****ing evil and stupid 'User Account Control' on Vista. Now the problem with that is when I turn it off I cannot use FAM at all. So ergo I have no options that I like. And now the computer refuses to start up so I am not having a good time right now. Anyone wanna mail me a flail?

Alternatively, you could just go out and buy a Mace. (no not the gas, the medieval bludgeoning weapon).

A flail is possibly overkill, but I am getting the impression you want to hit your computer. If the target is something else, then may I suggest a coastal defence gun? The one with the calibre a metre in diameter.

Well I got the wretched comp to boot up. (Spent the better part of an hour on the phone with tech support) I had to go into the BIOS screen and reset a bunch of stuff. Then when I got the comp booting the mouse didn't work so I had to go into Safe Mode and restore the settings. And to add on to that, because I uninstalled FL today the Restore removed it completely. So FL is not on this comp and I am not installing anything for a few days. Apparently there were some hard issues with the comp...no idea what as the person helping me didn't know either. But the comp has been fixed however I am forced play FL on the other comp.

Also I may add, I know what was keeping the new mod from working, apparently having UAC on when installing a mod is bad. And having it on when trying to play FL keeps the mod from working. Although I believe this has to do with new settings from a windows update as this wasn't happening before. In short I have little to no idea what the hell happened now I am just happy that my computer boots up.

Came with the computer and parents will not change it, when I have the money for my own computer I will buy one with only XP on it no bloody ***** Vista.

Simple solution, just install XP as a second OS.
If you have the install CD, just get it onto another partition. The system will ask you which system you wanna use at startup.
I've got windows 98 and XP on mine >_>
