The Corfu route is deals in highly fast expiring cargo, goes through Corsair, Hessian, neutron irradiated and asteroid filled confusing territory and goes through 3 regions. It should stay as it is, except for market RP reasons.

Trying to make a dynamic economy implies that things go up and down. Nerfing trade runs in an RP sense means that a commodity loses value or gets less demand.
In a real economy, other commodities would become more valuable to take up the slack. At the same time as commodities losing value (deflation), ships and space are gaining value (inflation). Therefore, its harder to make money, and you have to have more of it before you can buy anything.
This is to make the game harder. More interesting? I disagree. It simply means traders will have to go back and forth more times to get the money they want. The game gets more repetitive for them. It doesn't enhance the game for pirates, as they often tax per trader, not per trader per run.
Nerfing Cambridge/Corfu would be fine, if they replaced it with another route that was as challenging and as profitable. I doubt they will.
Also, I expect that Tau-31 will remain un-nerfed. Why? Tau-31 is within the "Outcast" sphere of influence, whereas Cambridge-Corfu is within the Corsair sphere of influence. Its just another one of the admins' strategies to spoil gameplay for anyone carrying a Corsair tag, in order to reduce the numbers doing so.
I would continue my rant, raising issues such as the size of clans that should be small in an RP sense, and how many ships that would have benefited us where excluded from the mod, but I wont, as i'm almost certain anything I say will be ignored.
Don't make a mistake, Tau-31 will get nerfed. Igiss just made an oversight. There are plenty of trade runs still if you know where to look. I spend a great deal of my time trade scouting and believe me there are great routes everywhere. How many of you actually bother with the stokes run? The perfect example of an inner house trade route.
As I remember, there was a Dynamic Economy mod on Lancers Reactor about a year ago (the first time I found this game). If we could dig it up, maybe we could make it work?

I am pretty sad that where loosing this great run, its not just a great run money wise but it is a great trade route ROLLPLAY wise, i use this route for both my Pirate char and my trader.
For my Trader i use it because we get allot of pirates hanging around there and it adds to the fun and PR of the game for the trader.
My Pirate (Corsair) goes there and uses it to tax the traders, adding to my Pirates RP and also i hope the trader being taxed RP.
If this is taken away then your taking away a real hot bed of RP from that sector of space.
Imagen if we do get the Hessians faction that moved into 05 to try and take the tax route from us, would be great to RP.

My 2 penny's.
Hehe, ROLLPLAY...
Maybe people are getting a little too worried about this? I mean, when has Igiss led us astray before? He's got a great knack for balance.
There will still be opportunity to pirate, and trade runs will be longer, making pirating much easier. The length of runs is being extended, sure, but I'm guessing these long runs will be more profitable to make up for the change. It only seems logical.
Few of us would prefer to run between the Corfu and Cambridge while the Tau-31 run remains. I was hoping the Corfu run to provide a slightly better profit but now does it seem to vanish for once and all?
