The RP reason would be a tax for some outrageous 'war reason'.

As per the people not in a war, well, laizzes faire. Let them live. It's ~30,000 credits. Not that much, not enough to be noticed. Indeed, if someone was down 30,000 credits, well, I doubt that person (who was missing the money) would notice. Why? It's an outrageously low sum.

Anywho, I'm not going to argue right now, I've got some television to catch up on. Stupid season premieres...

Adieu!

Whoa Whoa and Whoa everybody! Look I am happy accept assistance for this project, but lets not go taxing everyone. I apologize for complaining about cost. There are other modders on disco who would do this system, but there is a reason I went to see dab. I knew full well he was the most expensive but he is one of the few people Igiss lets do complicated stuff.

That docked spyglass you see in the picture is not easy to do. There is a great deal of work involved in a station that big. I know Dab can do it. Not only that, if Igiss adds the new system soon (He hold ultamit veto in all jump hole and system locations) dab can have it done for the final release. I have no shred of doubt in that. Yes dab is cocky, but some of it is well deserved.

Besides you know how much work it would be for the admins to remove 30 000 from all of those accounts? That is allot of scanning and editing. Korrd said something about the player database being around 7000 characters. I have worked out a "pay over time" agreement with dab.

Besides a price limit is good. It will keep my imagination in check. For a long time I have been seeking to make a contribution to discovery. Unfortunately I can't code worth a darn and I am very slow at learning modeling. If you guys gave me unlimited resources I would try passing this.....

Now can you imagine how much work that would be? Making me work for this is good. I will accept donations but anything more is ridiculous.

Sheesh.. Eris gob-smacked, as Hoodlum would say.

Well, let's introduce another less contentious concept, then, shall we?

"Philanthropy".

Nah.. let's just get pitchforks and torches and surround the Castle. "Addcash Dab!" Addcash Dab! Addcash Dab!"

Hi, I run the Junkers Clan and I can't begin to express how happy I am to read all this.

First off I like the spot in Omega-9 and the name Tortuga. Location
As I have cordinated junker unity in all sirius, I will assume some loose controls
over the base such as ocasional Xeno blockades.
And I think that Tortuga should buy Xenos pilots.

If anyone would like to talk about our, soon to be, dealings there just PM me.

Also: I am currently buying the Junkers guard system and when I do I will be glad to start paying for
this station or system or anything...

Ya know, Dude.. I just got to say this:

You've got about as much right to assume "loose control" of Tortuga as the man in the bloody moon.

You're hardly ever on the forums or server.. and when you are, you don't even have a clue what your own faction is supposed to do and be, let alone anyone else's.

I think you'd do best to just jump back, Jack, and let Nexus handle the details. Watch and learn, son. Watch and learn.

There's no "dude" in "Tortuga".

Dude, there is no need to get angry.
I was just saying that we would be hanging around the base.
We are junkers and it is a junker base. I am not taking control of anything
but we will be utilizing the area. So chill dude there is no need for the harsh
talk... Now back to the subject!

Ladies, gentlemen ... All of this is rather a moot point currently, nothing has been decided one way or another
concerning adding any new systems, and certainly not one that rather cuts a 'trading corner' out of that part
of Sirius. As the title of the thread says ... JUNKER FREEPORT PROPOSAL.
If it were added as a vanilla style system, I think you would find no one could purchase, or take control over
such a well placed and tactically advantageous one.
Lets keep it real people ...

Thanks Hoodlum. Anyway in the finished system I split for the construction of additional smaller bases (an extra one or two) and of course there is the matter of scenery to worry about. I intend this system be a major part of the overal game. NO ONE will have possession over it.

To tell the truth, I'm not so sure about this concept. All Junker bases are freeports where every unlawful can go, and it won't change if a new base is constructed. Besides, Freeports are sort of civilian stations that are operated by Zoners (and IMG in one exceptional case).

Also, the concept of setting up trade routes in the specified location is definitely wrong. This will simply make existing trade routes shorter. If there will be 1-2 trade routes for such a place, they should lead somewhere really remote, like Sigma systems or Kusari space. However, I'm not sure of any commodities that could be suitable for that.

dude42, you are not buying Junker system. Not until the admins approve the purchase, mainly because no one knows your faction. Plus, purchasing bases was never a case on this server, and won't be.

The name "Tortuga" is hardly successful. The word means "Turtle" in Spanish. It is a geographical location, sure, however it's more suitable for Corsairs/Outcasts because of its Spanish origins.
