Bretonia influence? Of course! The MM were people from Bretonia that created a mercenary cooperation around Sirius. Being so, the MM manufactured their line out of Bretonia designs - round cockpit, wings, engine, etc...
Looks weird, but in a potentially interesting and acceptable way.
The biggest gripe I have about it is the window. Does it need those solid bands across the front there? They look like they just reduce visibility.
Also, I think the window might look a bit better if it weren't a full circle. Maybe a half-circle or a two-thirds-circle on the top half of the ship? Like one of these two.
Just a suggestion, anyway. Even as it is now, I still think it's a neat ship.
The general design is neat, but if I ever wanted to design a ship for Mandos, I would take the Manta and turn it into a Bretonian design.
And seeing that people are already going "zomg TIE fighter!!" to your design, what about you try something like, rotating the ship so it'd be vertical instead of horizontal, which would make it look like an APM-BAF crossover design.
I actually had an idea for a fighter along similar lines except it was more vertical. Its not bad, though the cockpit could use revision in my opinion (the X thing)
can we have a quick comparison to the bounty Hammerhead?
Maybe try and give the wings a small downward angle, would make the ship look more agressive and add a distinction between bottom and top - as it is now, it looks too much like a tube with some straight lines in the middle, especially from the side view.
