Dieter has always insisted on making the BAF| as open as possible for new players, and the tradition continued even when he wasn't in the faction. That is a characteristic of our faction; very open to new players. I'm not sure how that compares to other military factions, but that is the cause of some of the grief in Bretonian space.

Does that excuse the behavior of some of our members? No.

We are working to fix the problem(s) in our faction. However, it will always be an "open" faction, and there will always be issues and new players who don't understand the power and responsibility of being an official military faction member (I know I certainly didn't as an ensign), but how are they to learn without wearing the BAF| tag for awhile. I hope this gives some perspective.

Thanks man.

He's got my policy there.

Better to recruit an inexperienced imperfect player and improve him by helping him than to be too picky in recruitment.

It is a game. If a BAF member screws up, I cannot bring myself to be embarrassed; just apply corrective action and hope for the best.

Some can't get better. Them, you kick out if you have to.

Already done that once, might do it some more.

It may be the chilled atmosphere here in this bar, or maybe, it's watching the sea and listening Bob what keeps me chilled, the "why" is not important at all, but, in all my chillness (?) I'll point out that, it doesn't matter if our enemies (talking from a KNF point of view) hug stationary battleships, if they use overhealming forces to shoot us down, if they even call us cowards while they do that. The KNF will act as the KNF is, following the simple code of Bushido, honouring our foes who deserve it, those who don't, simply ignore them by shooting them. Of course, we won't fall into those tactics no matter what the others do, no matter if another enemy of Bretonia does it, nothing really matters. The best way to make people understand is being an example, and that is what we must be, an example. We got the luck that our RP encourages that way of thinking. Give respect to get respect. For those who don't give respect, ignore.
