nope...

less capitals

less people who do stuff with caps they should not do

less amount of capitals (its to high)

and so on...

What I mean by this is; Currently there are (or were) about a dozen or so mining spots, however, all but 3 were not very profitable, hence everyone got concentrated in those three systems, causing the levels of stupid behaviour to rise, all that needs to be done is that mining spots other than the ones in t32, o7 and Dublin need to be buffed to a similar profitability, to spread everyone out. Nerfing or removing the mining mod will have the same effect, but it will also kill several factions that rely on the activity/money it brings to function.

Edit: Also, more diverse sell-points are needed, for example, gold only sells in New York, which is silly, as Detroit munitions is not the only station in Sirius that can process gold ore, or needs gold ore. The same is true for all other ores. IMO, each ore should have at least 1 sellpoint in each House, and perhaps an unlawful one or two for groups like the Corsairs/Outcasts, which are mini-Houses. This will yet further spread people out and do what I have outlined above.

I'd do this, but I'd also decrease the prices.

If people are really there for mining, they won't complain if it's as profitable as trading.

I'm off to bed.

The only problem with the mining mod is that it's inherently imbalanced.

Can't just set the prices to have some variety because the trade routes are currently static. I'd reiterate what someone else said somewhere.

Let people help Xoria out. Give us a template and an FLHook plugin and we'll create trade routes to plug in. They could be dynamic, based on in-game RP. Let's say the GMG and Liberty have a falling-out? Suddenly, imports of H-Fuel are gone. We create a few new routes to reflect Liberty looking for trade partners, but the cost will go up on both ends. After amends are made, the routes are retired. Or kept, depending on how relations with the new partners are.

Something to think about.

NO. They all just concentrate on one trade route, that goes through NY (95% routes do). And it means many pirates in NY. And many butthurt ex-traders with lolcaps in NY. And much everything in NY.
Liberty wins... Again.

There is NO problem that can`t be solved by the use of high explosives.

best solution i readed anywhere I think (or similar like this)

nerf prices like hell

buff droprates like hell

so miners Q_Q less if they die

at first they wasted less time to mine to fill up cargo

secondly they lost less credits

BUT... that means anyone haz to fly more often

Seriously though, y'all need to relax. The way I see it, this is an experiment to try & quick fix an issue that overhauling won't do in the short term. Y'all just simmer down & see how it goes for a spell & stop with all the kneejerking as if you just got your wheaties pissed in. ::shrug::

Yup instead yelling "OH NOs" come up with some idea's to improve mining/trading.

Either way. I am good. i got 4 trains,a whale, and a salvage. I trade more them mine anyway. hehe.

Quoting myself because this is a high-volume thread.

Hell, I'd like that. It'd give me a reason to mine. As it stands, I can't justify the time spent to get what amounts to a middling return when you factor in time on both ends.

Quote:Why be in the GMS, Kruger, BMM, IMG, or DSE (kinda) if mining doesn't exist? They are not trading factions in role play.

DHC goes in the same category. Again, adapt and move forward. One of your bases produces a certain commodity? Look for the ones who need that commodity and offer them a contract. With the cash you make pay for the supplies you need. Thats only one example of what you can and should do, RP wise

Quote:again the mining nerf is affecting everything. its not like gold is the only thing getting hurt!

Yes, I am aware of that and I am DHC's 2ic. We mine uncut diamonds, remember? Mining was an easy way to make cash, but it didn't require (almos) any RP. Trading, on the other hand, allowes you to meet new people: pirates, mercs, escorts, other traders, etc

Incorrect.

Trading is currently quite balanced.

There are no real powertrading routes like there were in 4.84 or, even more, in 4.83.
