Leave the mining alone....

It should stay as it is...it brings peep together and it's fun and equal with trading...

*irony* A BIG "Thank you" from all mining factions out there.

You took away all reason for these to exist.

Great move.

So we all become IMG Defence now and start pewpewing people. Great.

Thank you for forcing me not to roleplay realistically.

Well, that wasn't too good of an idea. I mean, how about turning the blasted New York off because of players complains? Turning the pvp off because people complain? Turning the traders off - silent traders are no better than miners, you know?

Poll says it for itself.

If you don't like lolwutting miners, people, don't go to dublin.

Ah, and thanks everything we're Hessians. I mean, we can't mine anymore? Well, we can still pew people and get money some OORP way. Shame usual mining factions will suffer, uh?

Look at the GMG?

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

What about them? They getting gas mining in 4.86 as far as I am aware. It seems that we will probably have to wait till 4.86 to be able to mine again. Hopefully not too many factions will die along the way.

Obviously quite a lot of feeling here. Personally I do a lot of mining and I think I get some kind of perverse sense of achievement from the results. Maybe the profits are a little too high. Conversely trading profits are too low. I do agree that the activity is a little too concentrated. I myself am somewhat IMG obsessive.

I think one of the main points is that without mining a lot of peoples existing characters will lose value. I am sure that Tau 23 will die almost completely and the Outcasts will lose one of their playmates.

Awaiting the outcome with baited breath.

Mining was fun once. Now everybody is miner or pirate. Senseless demands of 10milordai. Vet players ruining stuff around by being pirates and then reporting people.

I say kill it. And I made billions through it.

I agree with you. However, I don't think the solution lay in simply turning off the mining mod. This has left quite a few people with their favorite factions hanging in the balance. For instance, if Junkers can't mine scrap anymore. What is our front going to be for smuggling? Maybe we will open a couple laundromats and restaurants and conduct our shady business there. Since these were common "front" businesses for mafia type people.

One more thing - no mining = no cargopirating. Well, it's possible to lol around in pt and trollplay usual traders, but what are you gonna do with some 1000 super alloys you just got from passing by traders? Nothing. Just sell it on the base. GOOD GOOD, 500K PROFIT!

Interesting options out there. Here's some that one that I personally like:

1. Buff drop rates, nerf ore price (less aggravation if your hauler/miner gets plundered). For example the scrap drop rate and price ratio for ALG and Junkers seems to be a reasonable solution. Unless, of course, we think cultivating aggravation on this server is a good idea...
