This is an official moderator warning: "you troll you lose" is still in effect. This includes all that tried pushing the offtopic "whether hessians should get bs or not" in this thread (including members of my own faction). Please stick to the topic or people will be slapped.
Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, lets get to business:

Whats all involved in winning the credits though, Do I need to just make and texture the model or does it have to be the full package, (A.E. HItboxing, Cmping, hardpointing)
Hitboxing afaik will not be necessary due to new developments. But yes CMP and hardpoint would be nice.

Do the Hessians want the battleship to be thin or thick?
Long or short?
Any striking look to it? (Eg. A large forward gun etc)
Like it says in the first post, the battleship should be long and not too wide, sort of bulky but not too much, any wings should be short. This is so that it is environmentally prepared for omega systems (lots and lots of rocks). Luis's model dimensions actually fit pretty much perfectly, and that model is a good base for a Hessian battleship, although it would need some further work to make it more... "Hessian", + obviously a good Hessian style texture, with possible small additions from IMG/Rheinland maybe.
Remember guys, the battleship should ideally be a medium one, so it needs to fit such dimension wise (so around or slightly bigger than LN battleship maybe). Other than that I think we can let modellers express themselves here. There is not much else to say other than look at the fighter line and its unique features, but do not copy too much from it. A gigantic odin would be weird:P
I understand the above isn't the closest thing to what you are looking for.
Ignoring the textures etc (All 2 of them), what are the thoughts regarding the long 'arms'?
The reason I ask is because there are ways of making stupid massive wings, pretty much like a massive odin, but there are also ways of having wings that are pretty much the body.
Preferably do not consider this my submission.
Weapon wise, forward cannons are good or bad? That model above was meant to have two cannons inside the arms, the blast holes are visible but hard to see in the picture.

Forward cannon would be great. Two would be two times greater. But i'm not sure admins will let a battleship with forward gun in if it's not nomad one.
And your draft, well, it does look like a battleship draft, which is good.

The nomad battleship doesn't have a forward gun, the Valor does. To echo Blodo's voice, any sort of trolling, blatant or subtle will stop right now, or forget light slaps from blodo, you'll feel a heavy brown fist coming down on you. I'm not going to repeat this again.
I've passed the Vidar plus textures to Hades. Once a model's geometry is final I can make a hitbox fitting skintight for it, but only when the model is final. Meanwhile just use a generic block or such for the hitbox, or a working, similarily sized battleship hitbox.
As for a battleship forward gun - if you can make one including the required turret model, I don't see why this ship could not get one. Just don't expect killer stats for such a weapon to be accepted. Remember that forward guns have a VERY limited arc.

I thought the Discovery devs had found a way to not need hitboxes, unless I am mistaken.
Anyway, I've done some work on the model and, while there is no texture, here is a picture of it. I've done quite a bit on it, mainly on the front section and middle segment (mainly making the hump a lot shorter, which helps make it look larger and it looks better this way). I still have some more model work to do, so that's why there's no texture. The other ships, the Kusari Battleship and two Rheinland Military Valkyrie fighters, are there for scale. At the moment, it is a bit taller than, shorter and wider than the Liberty Dreadnought, scaling is by no means final, though.
Anyway, I wanted to know i I was heading in the right direction and how it was turning out. Also, the render was taken with 3DS Exploration, I'm not sure if the shadows help with making out details or not, but they're there.
