So, I have another idea about trading.

There is a problem I think, most people will use IDs like the Zoner ID and even IC to do most of the
trading, while there are many unused IDs out there. Of course some people always will go for what makes
the most profit, but let's not look at the powertrading for a moment.

What idea had I in mind to make having a Cryer, Synth Food, IMG, DHC etc ID interesting again?
Subsidies.

Yes yes, having them on RP base would be neat and far better than what I'm going to propose, but it doesn't
seem like there are many doing this iRP. So I'm suggesting this ...
Increase the sellprice for transporting cargo related to your faction with your ID.

People should get bonuses for transporting freight that "their company" would be transporting. Like a Cryer
ID'd ship should get much more money for transporting pharmaceuticals than any other trader. Or a DHC
should get more money for transporting diamonds and so on. That would make having those IDs much more
interesting in my opinion.

The problem is ... I can't think of a good way to implement this yet. Just increasing the sellprices has, well,
a bad side effect. (Sit in the base, buy - sell - buy - sell...) Best I can think of at the moment would be if the
prices increased in percentage. Means, the lowest price will be multiplied by 100% while the highest price
you can buy/sell the freight for will be multiplied by 200% (or whatever you want to set it). The prices
between will be increased depending on the lowest and highest price and percentage.
(I hope you understand what I mean...I'm bad at explaining...)

No. People should be RPing because they like the faction, not because it's a credit farm.

Make IC ID very expensive to buy. Problem partly solved since fewer players will buy it.

Yes yes, having people doing it all iRP would be much better. If there was some kind of "web mission"
platform which would make this easier to do it would be much better too.

But I've been here for some time now, and most people do trade for money. So, while there's no "webbased
mission platform for trading contracts" etc (think of HHC), and while there isn't much contract stuff going on
on iRP basis, and because this would also work for indies (meeeh, I know they should join the factions, but
I'd prefer having indies fly more variety of IDs than just IC) I still think it is a good idea.

But yeah. I too think it's hard to implement... :/

(By the way...I think trading for money isn't that wrong as long as they don't always take the most profitable
routes. I think they do something like this iRL too...:P...without a dynamic system this isn't going to work
though.)

But there will be fewer. Since it is an ID only. Not ship which some people trade/mine to get.
