a basalt miner has 30 units of cargo space. This makes mining in these ships wayyyy to tedious. again. there needs to be a script that will let basalts send ore directly to thier hegemon ship.

Uhz, Is it just me or after a few hours in the hands of a graaand total of 6 miners, T23 is half as good to mine in as it was earlier?

I was getting 20ish at 1400GMT, now if I get a 10 it's national holiday.

It did stop the bonus. I guess you could squeeze some ore from rocks just like some passing starflea could... Now ores don't just fall out of rocks, so the only ore you get is the "bonus" one, i guess.

Not sure about the ship, too.

It's not a matter of ship, but speed at which it starts drying out. Just a few hours and poof.

So you would have it dry out after a whole day of mining in it instead of a few hours? How would that help the situation at all? It would be just like before.

Edit: Also, as Vlad pointed out, having no IFF did stop the bonus.

I wouldn't say 50% reduction is poof, and wasn't it the whole point, anyway? I'd love to see more "restarts" of mining fields per day just because of timezones, tho.

Gives us reasons to mine cobalt ... maybe even copper (bandit)! We even have to rethink allowing such open access to our fields.

Field access will become a hot topic! And I will love it, too, because it opens roleplay between mining factions that use the same system. There could be quotas and people exceeding the quotas and trouble and solutions...

I expect that the depletion will have to be tweaked a few times until it is really fitting, but the idea is really good and it will help increas mining roleplay on all levels.

Let diplomacy roleplay decide that after the mining mod has been declared to be completely installed. =)

But Yes, I am very sure there will be conflicts, not only in O7 but in all mining areas where fields are used by different companies. And I'm looking forward to these conflicts... muahaha. =)
