So I've acquired about 300 mil and I'm considering buying a capital ship.

My first choice was to buy the "Mako" Bounty Hunter Battleship, but then I heard that the Bounty Hunters on this server don't RP with Battleships.

In your experience, which High-end Battleship/Dreadnaught should I consider saving for?

It really depends on what you want to do with it. Bounty hunters guild Core sure does RP with battleships, they are a part of invading the distant lands, where strange people and even stranger things live. However, BHGC Makos and everything else larger than a gunboat, for that matter, are strictly prohibited from operating outside of deep omicrons.

So, think about what you want to do with your capship, then decide on that. Other than that, you'll quickly find out that caps are eaten alive by bomber squads, so, not much PVP edge there;)

I already have a Mastodon, so I probably wont be going down the ladder. Larger cargoships are always more profitable and thus, time saving. Time = Credits.

I'll probably go for one of the house navy ones.

There is no best capital ships.

Battleships are the best of all worlds, high armor and high gun damage but low manuverabillity.
If you pick the right battleship you can kill all other classes quite easily.

Osiris, Liberty Drednought, Bretonia BS, and several others.

Cruisers are bleh, they're good long range 'snipers'

Gunboats are loosely classified as Capital Ships, but meh, They're good against fighters and in numbers against larger things.

Dont let people talk you out of it.

Yeah, gunboats have proven a nice hybrid between safety and firepower.

All the BS's have pluses, and negatives. Some smaller, and more agile, but less armour. Others huge, and slow, but a juggernaut of armour. Decide where you want to RP first, and then decide on a ship from that area. Also 300mil? not enough for a BS. Need closer to 750 as they are sold with BS licence. Plus another 50mil min for weapons.

Oh, and another thing. do NOT buy a battlecruiser.

It's the equivalent of buying a nerfed BS and a nerfed cruiser and then putting the worst of both in the product. Awful.
Worst capital ship class.

Better fill the trader with H-fuel then and keep the cargo moving, then.
