and monty. 2 bombers is enough to murder a bs - if you know what you are doing, that is. no need for cruisers. watch me and one or two of my wingmen in ships worth 120 million in total kill a cau8 bs worth ten times that much any day.
Osiris, Liberty Dreadnought, Bretonia BS... But you will get bored of them (All BS / Cruisers) faster than you'll know, trust me on this one since i'm a "capitalist".

I challenge any lone bomber vs any one of my cruisers in a one on one fight. 2 bomber is a heck of a fight if you are not in an LABC (with no thruster they are weakly shielded sitting ducks) 3 bombers are death to a cruiser without a full solaris load out and even then it is still a grudge match.
For a BS, 2 bombers well flown will own one. If the BS gets a lucky shot and poofs one of the bombers a single one basically cannot win unless the BS is AFK because of shield regen. 3 bomber will send a BS pilot rocking inconsolably in a corner. 3 funboats will do about the same thing with razor/pulse load outs.
For cruisers, the slower primary turret turning speed was the greatest hit to their survivability vs. snub craft.
Why all these newbies are so cap-crazy? There's nothing special about them, since they're easily destroyable and slow. There's no power in them.
Size =/= Power

Maybe because these "newbies" dun know where to put all their billions of credits and haven't realized yet that the only "real" game experience is to play with the older ones in little fighters :rolleyes:

As a newbie my first goal was to purchase a cap too. It's some kind of "target" you can achieve when you join the server. Don't ask, every newb has it. But you will indeed get bored of them very quickly. Caps always get pwned of smaller ships, they always have been, and they always will be. In bigger fights with a good composition of snubcraft and caps on both sides they're fun. As well as in cap vs. cap. Flying caps can be a great RP value, if you know how to use it. That's why I kept my caps: for RP and conn/event/raid pews, because they're mostly fun.
My personal preferences: Small BSes, able to snipe, strafe and dodge, without losing too much firepower, they have the most chances against any kind of opponent, I can't make a statement about cruisers or Gunboats, due to lack of experience.
