Nirvana was born in Planet LA, at first he has trade for his family, when he earned enough money, he want to traveled around the Sirius, then met a Zoner in Bering, and they became good friends, followed the Zoner, he has love the view in edge world, and decided to stay there.

Still working on that - but the foremost idea in mind, is a former liberty prisoner named Edward Sharpe. Wrongfully convicted of a crime, and free'd from a slave ship on its way to who knows where. The interesting thing about Edward is his memories are scattershot, and he mostly doesn't remember his life before being found and imprisoned. He's not a bitter man, or even an angry one. He's an everyman of sirius, whose goal is try and improve the lives of the people around him. Life is so short, its easy to not care at all. Whose is gonna care for you when you die?
He's kinda like a beatnick messiah, and sin-eater. He's very much a work in progress character, which gives me a place to start, and lots of blank canvas to fill in over time as I play and explore the character.

Officially, I joined disco back in April of 2010. Truthfully, I played for a month or so, established Dane Summers as my character (freighter trading), then left the game for a bit. I started back up in March of 2011, and been playing ever since.

A Zoner is the true Spacer of the Freelancer setting. A person that, for very personal reasons, has chosen to cut ties with the safe harbor, and live life on the ragged frontier. Every single Zoner has a story, and it's that story which defines who the character is. It's the most interesting aspect of who that person is.

That depends, and again, it's a question based on individual view. The main asset of a zoner is the freedom of his life - He chooses to live in a place with no laws, and no repercussions, except what would come naturally. We try and extend that to others through a sense of neutrality, by being a universal open-arms - we don't make a choice to join one side or another, against any other side - which means we don't shoot-on-sight anyone in sirius - no other faction aside from the Junkers can claim that. It's a tough road to walk.

Freedom. chains bind, whether physically, or emotionally. Those chains come in many forms, whether through a signed piece of paper, a man with a gun, or a smiling child.
No chains, means every choice in your life is open to you. The stars are no longer the limit.
For a group of people who chose to leave behind ordered civilization, for the frontier, whether to see something no one has ever seen, or just find a quiet place away from the noise and heartache of a complicated life...in the end, its the freedom they have chosen, that allows them to make those choices.

I'd like to carry on travelling a lot, spreading the good word and doing business on the way. Kind of an enligthen trader double by a priest mandat if you see what I mean. I can take the arms if need to, but most will recognize I am not the best snubcraft figther there is...

I Do, I do : JhC, my main character so far, will be joining. You'll find basic background here and the last events there The foundation for a religious turn were always in my mind, as I used to roleplay a bit a belief in Abu d'Dhur, father of the immaterial roads (//now I'll leave to you to tell me where does that name come from, google not allowed...).

As you may see, November 2010. Been playing FL on private owned server years ago like many of us, but no RP whatsoever. I learned role play the hard way, meaning I didn't knew what it meant before I came here. It's been growing on me since, and I gotta say I most enjoy the community.

I am not a former member of TAZ, if that's the question. I recently started to role play around TAZ and the Discordian in order to make contact.

On the long term, but with irregularity. Such is my RL that I benefit months of abundance in terms of spare time, at the expense of quite intense periode where I may have no acsess to internet for some time.

-What is the most important thing for a Zoner in the Sirian community? I used to answer his neutrality, but recents events makes me wonder and ponder... I would say his reluctance of using violence as a solution to any problem. Or more generally an appeal for what some call the 'middle way'...

Well, i am an explorer and researcher since i can think; so i am travelling a lot; but from time to time, i am moored at the lovely Newark Station in New York. These circumstances would allow me to be somewhat like a preacher; but not a missionary...i let people decide for themselve if they want to listen to another being and its opinion or world view.

My RP Character Hans.von.Goeben.
He was born 28 years ago on Planet Stuttgart, Stuttgart System; Rheinland. His father was a Liberty Navy Pilot and his mother a farmer girl from Stuttgart. They met on vacation on Baden Baden and the result was Hans.
He lived a happy youth until his father was called back in the Navy as a veteran. Father had to fight in the beginning war between Liberty and Rheinland. He died during a battle against the Valkyries.
Not only a month after this tragedy, the most brutal riot wave by the LWBs started and the farm burnt down; Hans and his mother had to flee to the nearest spaceport. On the run, his mother was shot by a LWB terrorist. Paralyzed by this happening, a police officer took him and his heavily wounded mom to an overcrowded gateway ship to New Berlin.
Freshly an unregistered orphan and a son of a Libertonian, he managed to escape from new Berlins spaceport without get locked into an orphanage. Two days later, he found a low wage job in a restaurant for better society in this criminal part of the planet. There, he met the New Berlin Mafia...
After months of drug smuggle, hitman jobs and runaways from officers; he had to shed blood to become a full member. He was criminal, but not a murder. With the money he earned, he instantly leased a Starflier; fleeing from the Mafia and Police out of New Berling System...the real journey began.
In the years, he worked for everybody; and studied natural science at Cambridge for nearly 7 years.
After this period, he had enough and bought a tradeship and started all over again.
Now, he flies a Liner and does what he loves: Being an indipendent scientist for natural subjects; spending his hard-earned credits for it. And indirect, for a bit better future for humanity.
Because of his past, he tries to stay friendly and avoids aggression, but knows how to protect others and himself. He regrets every day until know what he did on New Berlin; and science doesnt give him every answer in this strange universe. He just needs a familiar area...and something to trust in; there, TAZ appeared in his life as Emmanuelle spoke to him...
It looks like that the culture does not only attract him by fitting his thoughts and point of view; the religion also fits with many theories of science; strange....

I play since 3/4 year. I flew a Liberty Assault Carrier; many tradeships, miner ships, an Eagle and two Liners. I played in Rheinland, Britonia and Liberty; but always as a neutral.

Yes, The Judges. All other factions i have ever had are NPC related.

Hans is my main character. I spend 90% of my FL time on it; and when i am part of TAZ; the iff can be seen often in Liberty and Rheinland.

A Zoner is a person born in the Borderworlds of Sirius. The original Zoner who settled first there searched for indipendence from the strict houses; to search for a better live in the Borderworlds and building an own, fair and free life for everyone who join them. Of course they respect other houses laws and officials.

The main asset of a Zoner is being a Zoner. He is indipendent from houses; is his own ruler; yet respects healthy human thinking and a positive way of living. Thats what i admire; you are your own boss and therefore, noone says stop in the outer-world houses. This way, you can support and build people you like ore share the same opinion way better than in a house where a policeman says:"NO!".

Freedom. The two prior points sums this question pretty much up. But helping the one who you want to help is the most important thing; and you only judge by intersirial law and your own brain. Yeah, thats the most important thing for me...
