Right existed to prevent bad game experience like 10 dreads vs 1 fighter, 101st (and corsairs as well, and many other official factions with them - we are not actually to blame) doesn't made any notable progress towards preventing such things from happening.

I do agree that both can cause,and hinder. But who is to say an Official faction will advance RP? Maybe 101st might,maybe they will not. That is the reasoning behind them not having control of others. So Joe Blow faction cannot come along,become Official,and then tell everyone else with same ID do what we say,or die. Believe me. Over the years there has be many amasing factions,but their have also been some horible factions. That is why they have little power,and why i would never vote to give said power.
It takes little to become an Official faction. I know i have had one about 3+ years ago. You need a little cash,some players,and a few pages outlining what your RP is.

So, your solution to fixing "bad game play experiences" is to just make sure no one can do anything about it, and hope it goes away?
I'd say that's exactly what my 5-year-old cousin would do, except he isn't that frikkin' stupid.
P.S: Official factions require much more than that, Ryoken. Plenty of factions have/had "Cash, some players, and a few pages about their RP". You'll notice that not all of them became, or have become, official factions.

Look, the 101st are meant to lead. Ya. If they say to an indie 'cast, "Hey you go do bla bla bla" and the indie 'cast says "no screw you" then there will be RP consequences. End of story. There shouldn't and aren't any oorp consequences for not listening to the 101st or whoever, just RP consequences.

Just to point it out again: Yes, MNS is a tag, but the MNS are not and have never been an actual faction. Neither official nor unofficial. It's just a capship indicator everyone was allowed to use (and which was actually introduced by Eppy if I recall correctly).

So unless the Corsairs specifically say they don't want it I'm sure such an order is possible (an actually fully inRP since the war against the Corsairs is the caps playground. Mind that we were initially talking about capital fleets here and not just some lolsabres in Bretonia)
