Now with many thanks to Nobadnames100 i was able to buy a Corsair GB, it looks great although it might need a reskin, its too rusty.

On the other hand, how do i equip it?

Are there guns that are a "must have" and are there guns that are "don's haves"?

I now have 6 "normals" (the cheapest ones) and 1 cerbereues (or what its called)

What should i get as an extra? or what do you prefer? im currently a bit low on the funding, but that will not be a problem for long.

Help is needed for the "Discovery Rookie"

Yes i read the rules.
Yes i will follow them.
No im not perfect.
Yes i will ask my "stupid" questions
Please tell me when my english is bad, i will correct it, im not very good at it

evweryone has their own choice of weapons. you would have one as well. its only the matter of developing it. asking for help is always the easiest most sought after option, but id say get some money, and spend it trying to find the guns that best suit you. thats how the rest of us learned. well most of us.

and its more fun tbh.

The reason that im out of money, is that i tried every single gun but could not find many differences other then looks, the only 2 i found that are really different are the Infernes and the Razer but i could be wrong.

As i have them now i can keep firing for about 20 shots but do very little damage, had real trouble when i found out that a 500k mission from Crete brings in 2 waves of 4 Bountyhunter Destroyers or Battleships !!!!! I could not do enough damage and died while trying to win.

Cough.... It takes time and alot of patience to find your perfect loadout. I found mine by trail and error while mixing people's loadouts that I scanned. With it, I can take out most things below a battlecruiser/frigate. The only exception to this is a very well flown Rogue gunboat.

Its all about personal preference and choice. I prefer balance rather than excelling at somthing, as I come up against a lot of opponents, in fighters, bombers, and cruisers. I can deal with all of them with my loadout. You could also equip your gunboat to wing against a battleship on its own if you flew it correctly.

Considering that I have ploughed alot of my time into finding my perfect loadout, which I am thinking of altering..., you would be wise to find your own. Not saying that mine wouldn't suit you, just saying that your preference might suit you better. I know a loadout which a member was very effective with. I tried it, and I was useless with it.

Honestly, finding your own path is better than getting one of us to guide you...

Thank you, i will start trying some, but one question remains.

Are there Have's and Dont's when it comes to equipping my Gunboat?

I found it interesting that i could buy infernes because they are outcast guns? is that normal or am i doing something wrong ?

when you are not alone in gamma, and you have real trouble (as you say 4 Bh desroyers and you can not destroy them)in mission try ask someone who is in gamma if he can help you.i think when is someone there and had nothing to work(defend crete or his own mission)he will help you.

first decide for what u wish to use that ship. what will be its main purpose...

well equipped corsair GB can take on any cruiser or destroyer with 50-50 chances of winning...if u want to attack capital ships my advice would be most powerful weapons that u can find...and use tactic...fire few powerful shots and then dodge...

if u wish to use it as primary battleship support against bombers and fighters, then rapid fire turrets and missiles

hopefully corsair GB has enough turrets slots so it can be equipped rather universally...but final decision must be made by you, your preferences and fighting style...

I am planning on many many raids of harmless traders, so i say a constant power output will do. I read in the rules that i can shoot at a trader but not kill it before demanding money. So i want to keep pressure on the trader to wear him down of his batts and botts then ask for money.

Hope that makes sence.

Still no have's and Dont's, are there any? And what about those infernes that i can buy?!

Might try setting Disco to Open Single-Player mode, start yourself in Gamma with tons of cash and a friendly rep to everyone, and test out the ship doing high-pay Crete missions. That way you don't waste your money on the server, but still get to try out all the various loadouts.
