Here is a statement prepared earlier in an intense discussion:

"Bretonian lawful factions and Mollies must stop getting along like grouchy neighbours and more like enemies, the way canon RP is intended. The existing situation is confusing. Start an insurgency, you lazy Molly bastids."

The upcoming event will permit this to happen in a way that is roleplayed.
Admins all-powerful huh?
Don't take credit fer mah werk.

So what can one (and who should it be) do to change diplomacy in the name of the whole faction?

As in... for example start an infocard-backed war between Kusari and Liberty

Or End the war between Hessians and Corsairs?
Roleplay it. Talk about it in-rp.
SOmething that extreme is unlikely to happen, but it's possible.
You simply need to persuade people.

Factions have rights, but they are not unlimited rights.

Any factionized Molly attacks my indie Molly to protect their precious agreement with the BAF will get a violation report filed for Rule 6.10. The Molly faction wants to give me a role play order, then its up to them to make it fit into what a real Molly would do. I'll play along, but I'm not gonna be a patsy to some over-egotistical dictator. Nuf said.

Wouldn't expect you to be. That's general common courtesy. It's the responsibility of the official faction to make that order within bounds of roleplay and through proper means. On the other hand, you have to be willing to go along with it as well. They're responsible for giving apropriate orders, you're responsible for being willing to play by the rules.

Anything else is abuse of the Faction Right and would expected to be followed up on as such. This comes back to the factions properly using their rights. No, factions don't have unlimited power.

Although, one attacking another of the same ID is an ongoing debate. That particular situation doesn't have a clear, justifiable answer. That's usually a very last resort.

Exactly!

A Molly that doesn't behave like a Molly should behave can understandably be put in their place. But when a Molly is attacked by another Molly when they are acting the way a Molly should act, that's just wrong.

What I was trying to say, it's still a IRP consequence to a IRP action. Why not deal with it IRP, rather then going "6.10 violation, sanschun!"? If you ask me, it will only make your experience here more deep...but that's just me...

Clearly you do not understand current or past Molly RP.
As Shakespeare would have said, "it is a custom more honored in the breach than the observance."
Several times the faction leaders have come out and said there is no agreement.
Mollys have not stopped shooting baf, not even the Garda.
Where do you get your information?

The "Dublin Protocol" has confused people.

It was never meant to be a peace treaty.

It was meant to say "Here is where we will kill you, and over there is where we might kill you, if we have to chase you there, and over here we might leave you alone, unless you misbehave, then we will kill you"

Not very huggy kissy.

But in any case, it goes up in smoke this weekend.
