Earlier today I was having a conversation with a reasonably new player.
He said that he used the /miner restart command and then discovered that he *couldn't* mine the cloud behind Planet Erie.
He also stated than he thought that if you used the /miner restart command, you should at least have the minimum requirements to be able to mine on the 'new' ship, which I understand is a CSV with a mining turret on the back.
If this is the case, then I think it needs to be sorted.
I also have other thoughts about the mining mod, but this isn't the thread to air them in. :cool:
It's a Basalt you get, with a rearfiring mining turret. Known problem. Fix is being worked on.

He was probably shooting the rocks with his normal guns, which, with the newest mining update, won't work.
He'll have to face backwards and use his turret.

Wouldnt it be better to make it cost 2 Million and get a fresh Miner a Dacite for start (Mining naturaly needs some investment in decent equipment)? Additional would be nice maybe with optional Rheinland (Omega 7) or Liberty (Pennsylvania) startpoint.
