Wait, that rule went away? Dammit... it used to exist.
Hell, that's the one of the main reasons I resigned, so that way the factions could really split and each could have their own seperate official status, and go their own way. In that case I may un-resign, so there's no issue about the Core having official status again.
We're still planning on splitting the faction anyway, since people can't seem to figure out the difference between Core and regular hunters.

There is a bit of a problem in assuming that both factions will retain their official status. This is one of those questions that is a bit hard. So, as I recall (and I may be very very wrong) the BHG gained it's official status as S/D and then changed its name. I am not sure at what point the Core came in on that, but I dont recall the Core ever gaining official status on their own. So we currently have one faction, the BHG that gained an official status, and then added the Core. Now if the faction splits up, I think it is rather presumptuous to assume that both factions will retain that official status.

It all depends on whether the font of honor is located in the position of faction leader or the body politic.
And since that's never been defined, well.
Actually, that's a great discussion to have.
Is the officiality and the transferability of that officiality derived from the leader, or the group itself?
For instance, if a faction decided they didnt like their leader, and tried to fire him, but he refused, and they left, where would the officiality remain?
