Zack here. I met up with the Resolute yesterday. He taught me in the ways of Mom. I also took some Neon to Porto Novo, and some fuel to Gran. I then took a hold full of Steakums™ to Crete.
Alright, April contracts are a go. Remember, for the Freeport XV contract you must source the water and oxygen from Kurile in Sigma-17. Their food rations come straight from the farms on Stuttgart. Do not deplete Freeport 9's stock to supply them. I've updated our internal network with some resources and such, this addition can be found here. You should all have access to the contract database also, if you don't here it is. Remember to keep moving food to Crete, our efforts haven't gone unnoticed.
Also remember that if you need an escort you can call upon one of our own, a member of VPS, or a member of the VE's EDF forces. Do not hesitate to use them and do not forget to pay them their cuts.
I'd also like to take the time to congratulate Ibrahim Malikk on his promotion, he is now a Director and a member of the Board.
First of all I would like to thank the higher ups for the promotion, I am sure the late captain Matthias would have been proud of me right now. I am currently on a shuttle heading for Freeport 14 from Planet Pennsylvania to set up my new office. I will still be captaining the Srivijaya from time to time aside from getting used to pencil pushing. Expect me to be active around May once all matters are finished.
With that out of the way, I also have another matter to report.
Myself and my escort Mr. Kai had a chance encounter with the entity known as Mom. it was an exhilarating and humbling experience, being in the presence of one so great and mighty. Who else has the power to create such a show of lightning in space where there is no matter to conduct the energy?
Mom did take a different form this time, that which he referred to as 'Little Sister'. The form was smaller than that of the last encounter, resembling the size of a snubcraft, slightly larger than Kai's Eagle. The entity decreed that we spread the word of its existence and benevolence so that others may come to see the light.
I doubt the TAZ can say they've laid eyes upon Eris, hm?
Well, I finally had enough of this corporate 'keeping up with the Jones' nonsense. So i took Calimshan out for a spin about the Sector. Quiet and uneventful trip, save one instance. That was being stopped in the Texas system by a freelancer. Seems some folks are taking offense to 'Some Zoners supplying Corsairs'. Who knew? Anyway, Manifests follow and the Database entry's should be current.

It is with mixed emotions that I make this transmission.
The final assault on Omega-52 occurred at 18:30 SMT today. The incursion itself was more successful than we could have hoped. The Rebel forces, assisted by Liberty Navy's Gold Wing pushed back the Loyalist troops long enough for our transports to both insert the troop squadrons and disperse the nanite countermeasures. While I can't say the same for the Vokhanists, there were minimal casualties on our side.
Unfortunately, though, of those casualties were some of our own. The men and women aboard our transports for this operation took a gamble with their lives for the future of the safety of others, Coalition and Zoner alike. For the crew of the Resolute, this wager cost some of them their lives.
The transports came under fire of a Loyalist cruiser shortly after dispersal of the nanites on Planet Jiang Xi. Captain Sara Hillsborough and Engineer Geoffrey Cobb held on to the Resolute long enough for the other three members of the skeleton crew to jettison in an escape pod, but the Captain and Engineer went down with the ship, this 18th of April.
While our spirits are high as we celebrate victory with our comrades in the Coalition, we also mourn for the loss of two valuable members of the OSI family. Their sacrifice was not in vain.
The loss of a Whale class transport is a hardship on the fleet. I've already requested the appropriate paperwork to commission a new ship. I'll send notification along once said paperwork has been filed.
Well, Pulled out the stops and ended up taking out my transports for some contract work. Another quiet, uneventful trip though a long one. Manifests follow as always.
Just as a foot note, the Pharmaceuticals delivered to Freeport 2, Freeport 6 and Ames Research Station were all from the same load, I just delivered exactly what was requested to each station.
For a total of 21480, wich should cover the base's needs with a small extra.
I think we are done for this freeport, I shall start on Porto Novo soon.
Ah, just to be noted : I was nearly destroyed rigth in the front of Planet New Berlin by 3 Hessians (-=IS=- tagged). No warning, no talking, lots of shooting and thanks the godess pretty bad aiming. I managed to dock on the Ring and try to engage conversation with them but it seems a nasty cat got their tongues. They were briefly wipped out by RM as soon as the alarm was raised.
I failed to understand their goals, for I am pretty sure that floating in orbit around New Berlin in their most simple apparatus was not all of it. Not to worry too much but something tells me we will see them again...
