Hola

There is this (well known) bug that if you fire a CD missile (mosquito/reinforced/tran/whatever, dunno if WASP)
at/near a NPC or station, that NPC/station becomes hostile and starts firing.

f. ex. today near manhattan, i CDed some guy ~ 1.5 - 2k away from any station or NPC and all of a sudden i had a Dreadnought patrouille firing at me.

Can the effect/blast(wtf)range be fixed, so i can peacefully disrupt someone without having my own ppl firing at me?

You can fix it without any help. Just make your reputation full green with that faction near with that bases you want to disrupt anyone. Or just sell your Cruise Disruptor if you don't know how to use it near with bases.
And btw, that's not a bug. just precaution from same guys as you are who like to "pew pew" your CD to everyone around.

If you lower the blast range of the TCD it'll stop it from disrupting larger ships. So, no, you can't do that. Use a smaller range disruptor like the Mosquito or RCD to reduce the chances of collateral - but if your enemy is already being swarmed by NPCs it's a given you'll catch those in the blast.

You can prevent accidental TCD hostilities by ensuring that you're very friendly to the factions you're likely to accidentally hit. That way it'll require two or three hits before they go hostile - still won't fix the issue if you keep spamming CDs.

You could maybe use the Hornet. I don't know it's flight range, but you can distrupt trains with it if you subtarget some hard point near the engine;)

even at full green you can still only hit a station two or three times before it fires at you

If you're green with a faction, you can hit their station with more CDs than you can carry before they go hostile. Shooting them with your guns, however, will eventually make them go red.

Actually Reinforced CD has greater explosive range that TCD. I think Aeternus is wrong here :$

Exactly the opposite is the case

f.ex i had that Kusari dessie, PYM if someone remembers.

we had some simulations near that battleship in Shikoku, and when i fired a basic cruiser missile, it hit the battleship, which became red. I was KNF Gurad ID'd and IFF'd at that point.

When you shoot projectiles or whatever at stations, they dont go mad, but missiles like missiles, torpedoes or CDs, they go red.

I know how to use it, but whereever i am, for example scanning for contraband and disrupting the traders, the NPCs go mad. Same for missiles.
