A new faction RP story

To be honest, I'd remove any mention of the Dreadnought.

Currently, its place in your backstory marks you as a big, fat target for RM. If you leave that bit out, they might not consider you as worth the effort as you hit their trade.

As far as ship restrictions go, I would say nothing bigger than a GB for the LWB. Think of it this way, a group of farmers have their farms taken away and want to revolt. Are they gonna have the resources or access to an Aircraft Carrier? Cause thats what the LWB are... ex-farmers turned revolutionary/pirate. Also as far as that goes, I would say Hessian/Civilian ships only as Hessians are their only ally.

Now as far as the too many factions thing goes. Yes, I agree, I am one of the main proponents of that statement. However, I think putting a proverbial cap on faction creation would be doing a huge disservice to the community. When someone, like this gentleman, puts legitimate work into one that might actually bring something to the RP, we need to at least give it a chance.

From now on, I think new faction creators need to stop asking themselves "Can I make and lead a faction?" and start asking "Does the community need this faction?" Does the community need the Ghosts of Rheinland, maybe, maybe not. But Im willing to give it an oppurtunity to fill any gap that may be there, obvious or otherwise.

Thank YOU, for limiting the RT to approval. Everyone and their mom has one these days. I was gonna add that a Hessian Cruiser wouldn't be out of RP for you guys to have. As the Hessians and LWB are VERY strong allies, it wouldnt be out of the realm of possibility for them to have bestowed one upon you. Do the Hessians have a Gunboat? I dont think they do, but if so, that would work much better than a Rogue GB. Otherwise, I think a Molly GB might work better.

My reasoning behind that is this: Rheinland and Liberty arent exactly the best of friends. Now bare with me on this, the Rogues enemy is the Liberty Navy, the LWB's enemy is the Rheinland Military, so it could stand to be that the Rogues would secretly want the RM to flourish in case there ever is an all out war with Liberty (you know, wait until the LN is decimated and then seize power thermselves). Therefore, Im not sure they would want to support a pirate faction that is against the RM. I am not at all suggesting that the RM and Liberty Rogues are or ever will be allies, in fact they wont. RM and BAF are psuedo allies, therefore, I think the LWB could better muster some support from the Mollys. (I put way too much thought into this game.) Make sense?

Just wondering also, what is with the sudden influx of Rheinland unlawful factions? You all know (Workers Front, Ghosts, RHA) the RM and RepEx will destroy you all ;).

But the Molly gunboat is the Rogue GB and is sold only at Belfast Production Facility... or do I misunderstand you?

hey to me a GB is a GB is GB, some people like em, i personally dont like em much and i cant pilot one worth a darn, but at any rate, i could change to Molly GB didnt kno they had one really:P
