Personal opinion? I do not really care. Probably sounds harsh. 4.86 was meant to take less of a development cycle than 4.85. Everyone is bored. Things are going down the toilet. It will take an upturn once the new mod comes out and everyone finds that certain inactivity solutions, like The Order's geographical position and new-line RP much more appealing than the rut which is slowly becoming a grave.

As for independents "misbehaving"; nothing can be done. Ignore or teach. Your choice.

And yes, I ignored Carlos' post too.

Combination of poor leadership and lack of mod update.
Poor leadership often leaves many roleplay opportunities unused.
Good leadership encourages good gameplay by the faction members usually and helps exploit these new RP possibilities.
If there are no new ones, make them.

The lack of a mod update does weigh heavily on these sort of things though.
The mod is horribly out of date.
If anyone suggested that we all play a mod that hasn't been updated for 2 years, we would all laugh.

While we were in good relations with SCRA, BD hated us, for some time NLH aswell during SCRA's attacks on them.
Hellfire hated us too due buddy relations with Coalition. During good relations with NLH, again BD hated us.
As explained above alliance with SCRA was closing more doors then opening, it was not worth it.
NLH openly treated Nomads as neutrals and opened fire on Order, what is there to discuss it?
Should be stay buddy buddy only cause their base in bretonia avaliable for us, and ignore main aspects of Order RP.
Alliance with BD is stronger after SCRA one ended.
I want Order to be what it was back then too, guess what? That time has passed.
We can't go back, Ophi was great faction leader, better then anyone else so far in Order|.
But he is gone, he couldn't take all the crap related with disco, and he left, leftovers of that leadership are still struggling around. We our best, if we are so poor, fine. Who thinks it can do better, is quite welcome to take over.
Current Order diplomacy is exactly as it should be, if we have 343534 allies at the time when Nomads are suppose to strike Minor, then we will get backup and pwn them and keep Minor.
When (if) 4.86 arrives, then we will think about new alliances, Order position in Omicrons will change.
A lot's of things concerning whole Sirius will change hopefully, we won't form INRP alliances for future while INRP we can't know what will happen.

Order RP is not screwed, just been stagnant for to long.

As many people here, you're taking diplomacy too radically. If the Order's allied with SCRA, it doesn't mean the Blood Dragons are going to hate you for that. You may inform them about this alliance and explain benefits of it, or you may hide alliances (as per the Order RP they're supposed to be).
Forging connections through Sirius is very important for the Order IRP... And probably out of RP too. Right now, as we may see, the Order is pretty much out of love of the community.

Having more connections throught the Sirius won't help the Order to defend Minor, since I'm sure none of allies are interested to defend home of the Order.

Cause you'll end up with FR-5 if one of the leaders doesn't like you very much...

Two years in Order now...i seen many things,few leaders come and go...i do have some very interesting story's to tell...problem is-nobody is listening.
When i realized that i knew that i'll never be member of the Primary fleet...never really wanted to kiss anybody's behind...specially not "16 year old Admirals behind"...it's funny how all my Order friends have that same attitude...

This is not first debate on this subject-i remember year and a half ago when Kelt was leader-same subject,same themes,same bad things spoken about "indies" by Order leaders...

It's not true that Order can't have better leadership,truth is that same small group of people are choosing leaders between themselves using the same old criteria...there is no real change,only the names are changed.
We-TCG| have become independent from Order| and able to play Order as we think it should be played...but it costed us 2FR-5 and whole lota crap to acomplish that...

Mario (Anonymous User/Caja Collister) has proven he's able to be responsible enough to fit higher ranks. If you do, you'll be promoted too, that's not really a problem.
I was ensign for 2 years, because I wasn't active or responsible enough.

About indies: to some degree, that's not right, but majority of indies doesn't know or follow cannon RP, unfortunately. Meanwhile I'll inform you there're no ego issues in the Order, they're people like you and me. If you think commanding indies helps them to satisfy their ego, you're wrong, since they'd be glad to fly without indies, in highly cooperated teams, probably.
