Okay, I'm here because it's a proper place to leave my feedback and i want to warn you right now that the following text isn't the attempt to dictate and judge RP from myself but just an opinion that you may consider or not.

I'm quiet disappointing. Actually I'm sick of seeing the official factions turning Corsair NPC faction into some somali raiders, columbia dictatorships, etc.

From my point of view it is very stupid since every piece of text, rp, etc from corsairs is pointing us to few simple conclusions:

1) Sairs are acting as Spain during the XVII - XVIII centuries. "Conquista". The Spain was aggressively expanding into the American continent, enslaving and killing the locals in process. The gold rush was making people all over the Spain and other European counties to set up the ships and sail away to conquer, kill, enslave.

2) The political system reminds my the ancient Greece.

3) The shipnames are somehow referring to the Rome Empire.

So I'm expecting to see the RP made of some combination of this.

This is my opinion, so you may use it or not.

Ancient Greece is hard. Stereotypes of El Hefe are easy. Therin lies the answer you seek. Also something about hating on the Arabs.

That being said, for goodness sake, we're playing racist stereotype lancer. Flexibility of perception in order to secure fun = good times.

I believe it's in response to the emergence of the El Presidente character, who I believe many would equate with Castro or some generic architype of the "south of Florida" dictator. Hence dropping the El Hefe title, the familiar monicker of the same.

His criticism was that he felt the Cubano/Columbian/etc image was unsuiting to a group with roots in the Mediteranian, those concerns being met with a troll about Arabs. My response was that flexibility in perception and freedom to engage in paths not necessarily doomed to result in a bunch of hairy corsairs eating babies while wearing togas isn't by default a criminal act.

That'd be the connection to TBH. Just a reflection and defence in favor of the recent choices made. A refreshing divergence from lacking strong character of any type. Though do be careful, Panzer might try to sue for copyright infringement.

Well, this was my feedback and point of view on recent sair faction developments. However if we don't need any feedbacks except "wow was nice to meet you in space bla bla bla" then the reason for the forum section existence might be put in doubt.
