I have this ideea...wich i remember that was implemented in a totaly different game(X3 reunion)but it sounds nice and thought if i can see it here,its like this:
-every time you kill a ship npc or player transport or fighter you get a bounty wich is different from the cash you get from selling the pilot,lets say .... 5000 for a fighter 10000 for a bomber and so on(and posible to be loged into the log journal)..."you where rewarded 5000 for killing a red hessian vhf"....is this posible? It could be an source of income expecialy for ew people besides missioning/trading/mining

How do you like it?

You know, at first I didn't like it but then I realized the idea could have some merit. Of course, this should be regulated by ID and not just a reward for any ship killed so it doesn't encourage people to shoot everything on sight. Or if it could be regulated by reputation where credits are only gained by shooting targets hostile on your rep sheet (generic IDs?).

The idea here is that this could take the place of "missing income" for people who play Navy/Police/Whatever faction that doesn't have a good stream of income like traders or to a lesser degree pirates do.

Should definitely NOT apply to killing players however. The little blue message is too much encouragement for some as it is, and we have the forum Bounty Board for that.

About players yes you are right...its enaugh that pirates kill anithing on site...and adding a bounty sistem will encurage them even more...i was thought as you said ID regulated and you can only receve credits from killing ships hostile with the faction your id belongs...that will be wonderfull.BUT is this posible?


EDIT: similar with mining system...you need IFF ID and offcourse faction ship..so beiing freelancer and killing anithing wont give you nothing...probably exept nomads/phantoms/wild

Only pve should be influenced not pvp...its enaugh that any pirate is goiing gun crazy on anyone

It sounds like the OP just described EVE Online's Bounty System.

As to my knowledge i first noticed it in x2 the threat in a primordial state...in EVE is obious that the rats have bounty...its even stated on theyr status...but X series was like this..if enyone plaid the game...when you killed a rat you got an incoming messege with the ship you killed and money yo got from it...and its not the police lincence..its a bit different

when you kill someone, you already get bonuses; screamer mines are 6000 a pop. i believe a blue message is involved.

and if its not a blue massege you get sh** altho farming nomads is very profitable

Edit: Even have an ideea how this can be posible...each time you kill an npc you get a count in your pilot status tab...and from there is simple...and if comand string and voila...bounty system active altho makind this by ID is triky...i have no ideas here
