IT WAS A SUGGESTION!

You over react to everything. It was a suggestion so that Igiss could do his Discovery RP story.

Well sorry the way you have been acting towards me lately made me think you were trying to force it. But I guess I kinda did overreact. But I am kinda tense over all the stuff going on atm...

Oh, really, I knew that you'd say this.

Heh the latter can easily be done Dab, but I guess you won't like it, right?

Ok, Ive got a, fairly radical, suggestion.

Based on the last few days discussions here in the forum, coupled with the attitude of some players in-game, I would suggest the following:

Abolish all system claims!

Seriously, Im getting sick and tired of all this petty arguing about who owns what and who can go where.

Instead I suggest the following:

Faction influence: each faction can, if they want, influence one system. They do not own the system they merely have a bit of influence there.
In order to remain influential in the chosen system they must keep their reputation inline with that of one of the major factions in that system. Also, most of the faction members should use the chosen system as their permanent base. They do not have to be there at all times, but they do need to be there most of the time.

Note that a single system can have several factions trying to influence it. For example: Both the Bretonia Police and BMM can claim influence over Leeds, while both the Rheinland Police, Daumann, and the Junkers can claim influence in New Berlin.

And what does a faction get from claiming influence? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Its merely a RP thing they get a place to call their own. Thats all

Another idea, that would unfortunately demand a bit of administration, would be to manually change the reputation of those characters who wants to be part of a faction. For example, if I want to be part of a faction that claims influence in New Berlin on behalf of the Rheinland Police, then my reputation would be adjusted to match that of the Rheinland Police. Perhaps we should also have a joining fee (something like 2 5 million credits) as payment for the extra work that Igiss would have to do.

That would be good with the rep thing. But Phantoms would then be hostile to everyone as they are planning to enslave everyone... Maybe Xenos would like them. So they will surely not want that.

Pretty much the only reason Marauder and Damned are making these arguements is to have free access to Gamma without being attacked. Even if we abolish claims I am still going to attack them. Then they will come back again and try to get me kicked from the server itself just to stop me from doing what they do not like. This is just thier way of trying to get me out so they can get their way. Even after he said that we should have a fight to see if they get to stay in Gamma and we DID have that fight that Kane, Damned, and Vo lost Damned just switches characters and ignores my polite request to remove his characters. Look at the screenshot of him in Theta. I ask "Can you please move your characters out of Gamma?" He doesn't even repond and he says he is the one keeping calm. More like staying rude.

I am not saying I have the right to force them out but they shouldn't have the right to switch characters then switch back to one of the AW systems 2 minutes after I leave. We should have the right to battle for our system. The three deaths rule would defenately solve the entire arguement.

So, you want to have your cake and eat it too?

Look, if you want to take over all of Sirius, then you should be hostile to everybody. If you cant handle that, then forget it. Youre basically RPing one thing and gamming another.

Why?

Youre contradicting yourself. You dont have the right to force them out, but you will still fight them until they leave?

Since when did you get the right to decide who gets to go where? If I want to fly through Gamma, then Ill fly through Gamma. This server belongs to all of us, not just you

Thats what I told them. Look at the post in the Gamma crisis or it might be the other one about that.

Because we are hostile to them.

I was saying we can't force him out but at least fight him. He wouldn't even switch to half his characters until I am gone just so I can't attack him.

Umm IMG isn't a such important faction but i think i can live with it. So mainly our sistems are tau 23 and 39. But what about Kepler and Dublin?

The rules are fine as they are now but since AW are the zoners they shouldn't be able to force anyone out of any system, or even be in gamma anyway. It is a corsair system.. absolutly no zoners there.
