You might put a single, common fighter/freighter on the capship/transport sheet for reference's sake, though. Like the Rhino, or something else that most everyone's flown at some time or other. =P

Glad to hear people like the idea. :D

A few issues I would like to see if you know a solution to.

1: I do not know the % step when using +/- to zoom in HardCMP.

2: I do not know how to manually put in my own scale % for the image in Photoshop.

3: Some of the Custom made ships have upside down textures in HardCMP; this is most likely b/c TARG textures where used for the MATs.

I have devised a very jank way to scale the images, and the upside down textures can be ignored, but if you have an easy fix/solution for any of these issues. It would be appreciated.

Try to make screenshots of the skinned models in Milkshape. If one model is to big scale all down with the same factor, maybe 0.5, to keep the compareable size.

Just an idea.

hmm...that would be much work...

ships not necessarily need to be textured...

but i have one that could surprise many players

while all fighters are about same size....look at Arrow and Viper MK II....

Holy crap, is the Liberty Carrier really that big compared to the rest of the caps? I had no idea, no wonder I only kept mine for like an hour (way back in begining of my time here).

Oh, and great idea!

Yeah, I noticed that...I'd scale it down, meself, but that might be a bit more work than we can afford...

To scale the Arrow and Viper MkII down would take 30 seconds only, thanks to Antons FL Model tool. A scale down factor of 0.67 i guess.
O.K. testing the scaling result would take a bit more time.

Okay, a bit of work later and this is what I got.

WARNING! Big image.

The Cap Ships, only Battleship class vessels.

And a thumbnail version for everyone else.

I think the ships have better resolution without the textures. the extra space can, and will, be used to house the other ships of Discovery. Keep in mind this image is a quarter of the full image size, so even the smallest fighter will still be viewable.

What do you think?
