Jason Summers pulled back the simplistically designed, metallic chair and dropped his tablet on the table. For a second he just stood there and looked down on the slobbery burger he just got at the counter of Ames' cantine, sighed and decided to take a seat anyway. He couldn't help it. Can't be choosy without cash. He took the double decker to have his first bite. It tasted disgusting. Wrong. But he was hungry enough to cope with it. He looked out of the panorama window in front of him, chewing. Nothing but empty space. He took another bite.
It was then when three men walked in front of him, one of them taking a seat. Jason didn't look up. He knew the view was blocked anyway so there was no point.
"Hello there my beloved universal employee. How are things"
Jason could hear a smile in his words.
"So that rhino freighter out there belongs to you, I take it?"
The man made him self a little more comfortable. Putting one leg over the other, leaning his arm on the chair's backrest to sit in an angle that allowed him to look out into the void.
"You know we scanned your cargo hold before we decided to pay you a visit. Engine components. You doing good with them?"
Jason swallowed down the second bite.
"Pays ma' rent."
He took another bite with a smacking sound. Grey goo dropped off the burger that must have been a composition of fat, catchup, mayonnaise and lots of synthpaste.
"I didn't know they produce them in liberty again you know? They did produce em once. But the companies who made them went bankrupt eventually because of the competition from outside of Liberty. Left a bunch of real honest workers on the streets."
Jason was still chewing
"So?"
"So I think I want them. And your ship."
Jason didn't respond right away. He wanted to swallow the disgusting chunk of the burger first.
"You rogues?", he asked shortly before attempting to take another bite. A gooey piece of dill pickle fell on the plate. He still didn't look up.
"What if we are?"
Jason set up into an upright posture, raced with his left to his pants, pulled out a classic 44 projectile gun and smashed it on the table left to the tablet keeping his finger on the trigger; His right still holding the burger. He looked big all of a sudden.
"Den I'ma fu**ing popp ya mothafu**in' a**es. Dat's what, mothafu**ah."
Jason pulled the corners of his mouth down and looked at his opposite with his eyes wide open. The man didn't look very smart. Fleeing forehead, eyebrows grown together, eyes close to each other, big nose. The two others who stood behind the man and now hastily tried to get their guns out didn't look that intelligent either.
The criminal made a quick gesture to his now relaxing men with the hand he had leaned on the backrest. In the same motion, he got into a more serious posture him self.
"We're Xenos. At least that's what they call us. Handy word ain't it?"
The Xeno smiled. He had bad teeth.
Jason took a deep breath while leaning his head back a little without taking his sight of the Xeno's eyes, pulling the corners of his mouth even further down. Then he shrugged. He let off his gun, made his back round again while grabbing into his left pocket. He threw the bunch of keys that he took out at the Xeno. It bounced off his chest and landed in front of him: A key-card for the rhino and two keys on a ring.
Jason resumed eating. He took the next bite with another smacking sound. Again, not looking up.
The Xeno didn't really know what to make of this.
"So ... things ain't going that well, I take it."
"Fu** things.", Jason responded with a full mouth. He hastily swallowed a big chunk to have it off his tongue as soon as possible. He looked at the Xeno again.
"I ain't makin' no money with dat piece o' crap out dere anyway. You can have it. I ain't giving a sh*t. Ain't even mine. Belongs to da company now. Got drowned in dept and interest and all dat shee. Never had a chance to begin with."
He took a bite from the gooey burger again. He went on talking with a full mouth while pointing with the index finger of his right, that still held the burger, at the Xeno.
"Yo'all got it right. Ain't no sense in puttin' up with dis crap. Fu** em."
Jason had to put his chin on his chest in order to swallow. His finger was still pointing at the Xeno.
"B*tches screwed me over the moment I signed up. Never made enough to pay that damn rhino. Dem schedule be impossible. Never got a damn promotion. Instead I'm cruisin' around Sirius to haul their foreign crap. I feel like a damn flat face already. Dis be how much time I spend in motherfu**ing Kusari"
He took another bite.
"You know. I ain't getting laid cuz I'm on da lanes all the time. So when I got home, I went to a whorehouse. Told em I wanna Libertorian chick."
He swallowed
"Whore tells me ain't no one free right now only Kusarinese available. So I'm like fu**it I need to get a grip. So she brings in two Kusarinese and yo' know what dem be offerin' me?"
Jason leaned forward to the Xeno who automatically leaned forward, too. Jason whispered.
"Dem offerin' me to puke in each others moths."
Both leaned back again. Jason looking at the slightly disgusted Xenos with big eyes while nodding slowly. He shoved the rest of the burger into his mouth while still looking at the Xeno. He had problems talking because his mouth was too damn full.
"Dem be tellin' me all Libertorian whores doin' it too, ma'. Dis place be screwed ma'"
He chewed a bit.
"So Fu** dis. Fu** universal. Fu** my hole of an apartment. Fu** my dept. I ain't got sh*t anyway. Might as well start over as some ... fu**in' ... freelancer or bountyhunter or sh*t"
"So ... you know how to use a fighter?"
"Hell yeah! I'ma ace ma'" Jason said while pointing with his fingertips at him self.
The Xeno took a good look at Jason.
Jason was fat. Very fat.
"I'ma turn dis thing around."
"So you ain't the loyal type, eh?"
Jason felt offended to say the least. He put his left on his gun again, pointed with his right index finger on the Xeno.
"Yo' fu**in' with me ma'?! All I got in this world, is my balls and my word! I ain't breakin' em. For no body. You got dat, foo'?"
He took his right index finger off the Xeno's direction to randomly point at the ceiling.
"But if dem' don't keep 'em words, I'ma screw em'. An' I be hadin' to screw lot's o' people, yo. Only ones I couldn't give proper payback is fu**in' universal." he said shortly before relaxing again.
Jason licked the fat off his fingertips before using the napkin. He farted with an appreciative mien.
The Xeno looked down to his hands in which he kept spinning Jason's key-card around like he wouldn't know what to do with it. He bit on his yaw and, with a faint nod, looked at the guy behind him. The other one just rolled his eyes and shrugged while reaching into his jacket.

Lincoln was sitting in his quarters, enjoying the privileges that came with his promotion, reading an article in some old newspaper about the flight simulator he was developing in his Navy days. Every once and a while he sighed at the text he read, even curses could be heard due to the article being filled with distasteful lies. Finally Lincoln reached the peak of his tolerance about that situation, and with a loud curse he threw the newspaper towards the trash.

"I wonder, what use is there of so many lies that they spread? Credits, nothing else." - Lincoln said in wonder to himself while leaning back into his chair, staring into the celling and the lamp that was twitching. He closed his eyes, trying to catch a moment sleep before continuing his daily work, and dedicating himself to the stack of papers on his desk. A knock was heard, and two pilots entered Lincoln's office. Both of them were fresh of from a patrol seeing as they were still in their flying uniforms.

"Good day Sir." - One of them spoke to Lincoln, distracting him from his meditation. Lincoln shook his head and lowered it, rubbing his eyes to remove the bright spot the light left in them. Finally he managed to open his eyes, facing the two pilots in his office and he leaned towards them, "Have a seat boys." - The two pilots grabbed the chairs that were nearby and sat down, "So, what brings you here today?" - Lincoln asked them and began sorting out the papers on his table.

"Well Sir, we were on our regular supply mission on Ames, and we met....Well....A man. A universal worker, former worker judging by his words. We spoke to him as he had a ship on the landing pad with full cargo of engine components. At first, we thought about making him hand over the cargo, but his story, seemed rather interesting. He might be a good prospect to join our cause Sir." - The two pilots said, supplementing each others words as they narrated.

Lincoln was intrigued, he leaned back into his chair rubbing his chin with his hand, "Damn, I need to shave." - He whispered but quickly realizing that this isn't an appropriate time for that. With a swift move Lincoln turned on the communication console and hailed Jonathon's office, "Go ahead." - Was heard from the opposite side as Jonathon answered, "Boss, you should hear something. Go ahead boys." - Lincoln said hand gesturing the two pilots to tell Jonathon what they just told him.

The two pilots finished, leaving Lincoln clearly disgusted and in wonder by the behavior of Jason Summers, but personal opinion is of no matter here, "So Boss, what do you think? He any good?" - Lincoln addressed the question to Jonathon, who paused a little before answering, "Send him a message, tell him our boys will pick him up. We will give him a chance. I trust you can deal with it?" - Jonathon asked Lincoln, "Aye Boss, will be dealt with." - He answered and a long beep was heard from the communication console as Jonathon closed the channel.

"Thank you pilots, return to duty." - Lincoln ordered the two pilots as they saluted and exited his office proceeding to duty, "Now, how does this thing work?" - Lincoln questioned himself trying to adjust the communication console. He encrypted it, and directed towards Ames, where their agent will transmit it further to Jason.

At first,all that can be seen is a glass window with a crowd of people outside. Various motor vehicles stand parked along the sidewalk as people are walking in opposite directions along the sidewalk to their various destinations. Like sheep,the go on with their mundane live's, only to go deeper into the hole of debt, provided courtesy of big bad liberty corps. With half of the sunbucks logo visible, it doesn't take much more than a moron to understand the origin of the message. Someone suddenly walks in the view of the camera, only with the waist and mid-torso visible to the camera itself. Dressed fairly nice, in what seems to be a well tailored suit, the man pull the chair out from the table, ready to take his seat. Putting his drink down just off camera, he sits down and stares right at the camera screen.

He stares into the camera a bit before sitting back in his chair. Popping his neck with a single hand, he takes hold of his sleeve and begins to adjust it. Without looking at the camera, he utters but a single sentence.

"The name's Lijah Cuu, and consider this my application."

Grabbing his double mocha caramel latte, on ice, his gulps it all down in a single swig before standing up. Adjusting his shirt he walks off screen. The ding of the doorbell can be heard as the door opens and shuts. The man now known as Lijah walks across the view of the video screen just outside the glass. Disappearing into the crowd, the video stream just seems to sit there for a few minutes, aimlessly and anonymously recording the crowd as it passes by. Interestingly enough, a convoy of Black limousines begin to pass by with the Interspace Commerce logo on the side.

Suddenly, a large explosion and the screen goes blank...

As the stream come up, all that can be seen is the image of vid-screen playing some cartoons. The super popular show, "Slap Happy the Drunken Junker", can be seen. As the bumbling fool dances across the screen, various subliminal messages regarding Interspace products are very obvious. Product placement is everywhere, but that is common knowledge to anyone who enjoys such childish pleasures. An almost inaudible sound can be heard that doesn't seem to fit with the show being played. Oddly enough, it sounds almost like a whimper...

Off screen a voice is heard, definitely recognizable. Low, scratchy, and oddly blood curdling, it begins to utter somthing...

"Well, it's not too often one can enjoy Saturday morning cartoons. I have honestly missed this pleasure in a long time. It definitely does bring back some very fond memories. It's interesting to think how Naive I was to the fething corporate crap that emanated from these simple pleasures. Oh well..."

Suddenly, the fanfare for a newscast begins to play as the image on the vid-screen swithced.

"Oh, what have we here? The news interrupting my morning... I do not care for that at-fething-all!"

The whimpers get louder, but are soon drowned out by the news anchor coming on.

"We are interrupting your normal broadcasting to bring you this breaking news. A top Interspace Commerce official is reported missing today, after being absent for almost 3 days. Deputy Chief Financial Officer Thomas Baker has not reported to work over the past 3 days and his current whereabouts are unknown. Authorities say that the disappearance of Mr. Baker is closely related to the car bombing of an Interspace Commerce convoy earlier this week. They are trying to put all the pieces together, but according to a leading official, "Many of the pieces are just not here. Whoever it is, is good." One lucky break is that security video footage managed to capture a picture of the last known person with Mr. Baker."

"This man, named Lijah Cuu, is the last known person to have contact with Mr. Baker. The Authorities are not calling Cuu and suspect, but a person of interest at the moment. They are calling upon the public assistance in finding Baker and Cuu. According to our data analysts, Cuu seems to be in his mid 40's, standing at about 5'10". Background reports have brought up little about him, aside that he is a native of Manhattan. Weighing in at an approximate 195 pounds, Cuu is expected to be armed, so we urge you all to proceed with caution."

"If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of either of these two individual persons, or information regarding the bombings earlier this week, please contact the Anti-Terrorist hotline. Thank you for listening and we will keep you updated at the top of the hour as this story continues to develop. Back to your normal programming"

The vid-screen switched back to that drunk making a fool of himself once again.

"Interesting," says the voice once again. Then directed towards another end of the room, the voice shouts out, "Do I really look that fat?" The whimpering grows louder and it actually sound more like a muffled cry. The camera jiggles a bit as it is moved around and then auto-refocuses to see...

"Well, I await your response. I can contacted at this address. Right now though, me and Tom have some matters to discuss." Looking off screen," Hey Tom, you remember Mary right? You know that lady you fething Interspace pigs left to die, aka my wife? Well I'm here to return the favor."

Cuu walks off and the footsteps against the bulkhead grow softer, but the muffled cries grow louder and louder, until it turn into a scream that only gets as loud as the sock in a mouth would allow it...

Finished with today's patrol Lincoln finally got the chance to relax a bit in his office thinking to himself that those who spread the free voice of Liberty never get the chance to rest. But nevertheless, it is something worth fighting for, as freedom is the most precious commodity in today's modern world. He lay down on the couch near his desk, to close his eyes a bit and enjoy the fruits of today's propaganda. He reached towards the desk, touching the communication console and knowing it by hear he set the frequency to Liberty Radio which was buzzing about the Radio Free Liberty and the propaganda it has been spreading recently. Lincoln took great pride at what he did, and he enjoyed the shuffle his speeches have caused.

After a few hours of relaxation and occasional sleeping Lincoln knew it was time to continue to work for today. Slowly did he rose up and sat down at his desk, checking the papers that were once again stacked all over his desk. Amongst many other things, there was a datapad with the tittle Interspace Bombings written on the sticker glued to the side of the pad, "The bombings? Huh. I wonder if that is the same man? Sick bastard if you ask me. Who knows how many innocent died because of his doings." - Lincoln spoke to himself with little hope about the future of that man. And indeed it were those bombings on the tape, and the man that introduced himself as Lijah Cuu spoke in the video feed, introducing himself and his goals to the Xeno Alliance.

"Who the hell he thinks he is? Scum, nothing more, and perhaps even less. What would the people say if we recruited that man I wonder. We fight for freedom, and the well being of our workers, not for killing people when we get the chance." - Lincoln spoke into the communication console while there was a channel open to the Commander's office, "I see your point my friend, but nonetheless, we could use a man of his expertness in our fight against Kusari and many others that intend to spread their evil influence in our home. But fear not Lincoln, if we see him as a murderer, nothing more, we will not only kick him from our wing, but probably kick him out of the airlock as we don't want him murdering another innocent." - Jonathon responded to Lincoln on which he agreed, and suggested that he be the one to push open the airlock if it comes to that, "I'll make sure you do my friend. Over and out." - Only one thing remaining to be done now.

Just when one thought life would return to normal, it's messed up in a second. The name is Steinn Vagn, apperantly i'm from an ancient heritage, although i've lived in Liberty for as long as i can remember.

Being an average joe i had a loan on my appartment. I had worked for 20 years at the Waste Recycle Plant in New York. I was just able to pay off my loan and i finally started to earn the little "extra". But the day after, two men came to my appartment. I was offered a job, and the offer was one you can't refuse. 10.000.000 Sirius Credits was for the grab if i did it. Too unbelievable for an average joe with a yearly income of 6.000 Sirius Credits. However, i was tasked to kill another person. I had not killed anyone before, only been into a few bar fights with lesser injuries. But with 10.000.000 Credits... Oh how i would be free from my poverty!

I was given a gun, high tech stuff. The job was a quick one: On the same night i was going for the kill, the target; A corrupt police officer who supposedly have given assistance to the poor and criminals, the scum of new york. I caught him on his patrol and walked up behind him. Without hesitation i shot him at point blank range in the back of his head. He fell down. I could feel the taste of his blood dripping in my mouth. Just as i thought i was done, i was framed. The swat were there. They busted me and charged me for killing an officer. It must have been the government who offered me to do it. Looks like they needed someone to blame for the recent killing of police officers. Why not an average joe? Anyone would take on such an offer...

I served in prison for 2 years, working and treated like some beast, a little water and a piece of bread was all i had. One meal a day. My anger grew larger and larger. I was bent on revenge. Then one day it happened, a riot came up. I was freed by another criminal. Little did i know this was my first contact with an Xenos. I followed him out of the prison, he had arranged some starfliers for me and other prisoners to escape in.

My time had finally come. I am ready for my revenge against the liberty government. But i need someplace to stay. So i come to you, who helped me out once. Let me help you out, i know you are after the government as well. It's all messed up, they mess with civilian lives to have it their way! I will die for it! Let's change this corrupt filth now! Before more innocent lives are taken!

I don't have much to offer, but my hate and strong will for revenge against the government!

Greeting fellow Libertonians,
Let me introduce myself, my name is John Rackam I'm from the California systm but have also lived in New York and Texas.
Most of my life I've worked around the space ports and docks. I've lost jobs due to robotic's, they make robots to do the work for free putting me on the street. I've lost jobs due to coorporate mergers, a mega company comes along and buys out the people I worked for, then let the workers go and use their employees or robots. I've worked along the trade lanes, always dodging pirates and people trying to rob the honest worker.
Well I'll let you know I've had ENOUGH!! It's time I take a stand for what I believe in. Fair and equal work oppertunities for Libertonians without the influance from outside sources and coorporations. A pirate free Liberty, a place that is safe for it's citizens.
The local authorities don't lift a finger in most cases. I figure they're bought off or have been influanced by the same outside mega coorps, they are no better than the pirates. They just wear a badge while they tax the small time merchant trying to eek out a living.
I have equipped an X-shuttle properly named "Hmm.That's-Mine" and am prepared to disrupt foriegn shipping coming through the Kepler system. I'm currently using Nome base as a safe haven to reequip and refuel from. I just thought I would send my thoughts to some others who might think the same.
Down with outside trade influances and the bandits that prey on honest workers of Liberty. I hope this message makes its way to you and maybe one day we can meet. Until then I plan to free the foreigners of the burden of their cargo, then put it in the hands of true Libertonians.

Will was pretty much clueless as to what happened, so he asked the technician what he was rambling about.
"Sir, go to your office, it appears that there has been a mixup with a few recruits. The boy you threatened to kill is actually one of them...."
"Alright then, lets see what this is all about" Will responded, shoved the technician over to the side and rushed to his office.

He saw an open transmission on his screen, there was a man talking about his life...
[color=#000000]"This looks like a new patriot willing to join us, how could I have missed this?" he thought. He opened another link to the boss's office...
"Boss, I just saw a transmission, it looks like an application..." Commander Jonathon stopped him right there and added, "Aye, it must have gotten lost in all them transmissions, it looks good, doesn't it? I gave him the green light Will, feel free to tell him that.."
Will nodded, opened a new channel, and sent a transmission to this "new guy" right away.
